I spent most of the few weeks I had with Kellin, hanging out with them and going out with Kate. It's the night before Halloween and I've finally got around to getting my hair done. I woke up earlier than normal and went straight to getting dressed. I pulled on a black long sleeve Falling in reverse shirt, purple skinny jeans, and my boots. I straightened my hair an grabbed my batman wallet on the way out of the room. I used my phone as a mirror real quick making sure my eye make up was correct and walked down stairs. I heard someone in the kitchen and crossed my fingers it wasn't Kellin. He won't let me pay for it myself and might even want to go. I sighed in relief when Kate popped her head out the door. She smiled at me. "Going out?" She asked and I nodded. "Finally gonna get my hair done." I answered and she laughed when I shook my wallet. "He won't let you pay for anything will he?" She said and I shook my head. "I'll be back in a little while. Uh I was wondering if you guys might for some reason have a skateboard." I asked knowing my chances were slim. She actually smiled. "I used to ride to school on one when I was a kid. I'm sure it's in the garage somewhere. You can have it if you want?" She said an I went to deny but, just stayed silent as she led me to the garage. She pulled out one with a skull on the bottom. I giggled when she gave me a helmet. She looked at me seriously and I smiled waving bye as she walked back in the house. I sat the helmet back on the rack and stepped onto the board. I kicked off and smiled when I felt the familiar rush from wind. Me and Tyler used to go to the skate park every weekend. Lydia always scolded us for not wearing helmets but, gave up after a while.
I headed in the direction of town and rode recklessly like always. Pulling into the nearest hair salon I slipped inside with my board in hand. A girl with a cute pixie cut looked at my hair with a grin. "The girls are gonna have a fit over who gets to mess with that." She stated popping her gum. I smiled. "I need it dyed and cut." I said and she smiled. "Good you came early then. Whoever gets you is gonna be so excited and all of the girls are free right now. She pulled me to the back and immediately all the girls looked at my hair longingly. I giggled shyly. I decided on the girl with a kind of punk style who was looking at me as if I was God himself. She chocked up when I sat down in front of her. "You are Wren. As in little bird Wren?" She said and I smiled. "That's me." She looked like she might faint. "I love your music. Night terrors is my favorite song. So what can I do for you?" I blushed and explained what I wanted. She smiled wickedly. "This will be fun." Me and the girl, Sarah as I learned, chatted the whole time as she snipped away at my hair and then dyed it. I gave her an autograph before I paid and left. My hair was now choppy cut that hung just below my shoulders. I kept my shaggy bangs and got it all dyed. It went from my roots fading from black to purple to a very soft violet at the ends. The cold wind stung my face as I rode before I saw a skate park in the distance. Following the sidewalk I pulled up and noticed everyone was guys. Time to see if I'm still as good as I was. I sat my bag down and pulled my phone and money into my front pockets so the wouldn't come out. I waved at some gawking guys and decided to show off a little. I messed around and by the time I stopped for water almost everyone was watching me. "Dude, that chick is so cool." "And hot!" I heard as I walked by s group of guys. I kept walking and pulled my bag from the ground. I saw a guy and another boy who were obviously a couple walk up to me. I smiled at them. "That was so cool." One said and the other slapped his shoulder. I giggled at their cuteness. They both smiled. "Um we were wondering if you are Wren? As in totally awesome chick that toured with PTV, ATL, Mayday Parade, and SWS.?" One asked looking nervous. I giggled and nodded. The one that just spoke looked at the other with a smirk. I smiled. "I told you so." He said and I blushed at their attention. "I like your new hair!" The other said and I blushed even redder. "Thank you." The other one still looked shy but finally asked. "Can we have your autograph?" I smiled. "Of course." I pulled a silver sharpie from my bag and signed in both of their notebooks. I waved goodbye before skating back to Kellins. He was in the kitchen when I got there so I replaced the board and tried to sneak through the living room. "Bird is that you?" He yelled and I cursed. I sighed in defeat ditching my bag and the stairs and walking into the kitchen he looked over his shoulder and gaped before turning to face me from his place at the fridge. "Do you like it?" I asked nervously. He smiled, "You look great." He said and I took his bottle of orange juice from his hand before running out of the kitchen. "Thanks." I yelled over my shoulder and saw Kate walking down the stairs. She grinned at my hair. "It looks very good." She said and I picked up Cope as she reached for me. She giggled and reached for the tips of my hair. She giggled again and I kissed her nose crossing my eyes. Kate laughed again as I handed her, her baby. "I think Cope agrees with me. Now I'm sure you are gonna get an earful from the guys so you better go Skype them." She said pushing me a little. I groaned and heard her laugh as I entered my room.
