Alias' POV:
"Hi, Mr. Watts," I chirped.
"Ah, Alias! My, you gave me quite a scare," Mr. Watts dusted his clothes off.
"I'm sorry, I was just so excited to see you again!" I circled him many times while elongating my body to look like a giant serpent while a powerful gust of wind made Mr. Watts float in the air. Then I caught the scent of something unusual. "It's been so long since I last saw you!"
"Yes, it has been; please put me down now."
"Yes, sir." I gently put him on the ground and turned back to normal.
Cinder's POV:
What the hell!?
Emerald's POV:
What the heck is this thing?
Salem's POV:
Hmm, this child...where have I...
Alias' POV:
"Anyways, Mr. Watts," I chirped, "what are you doing out here?"
"Oh, nothing, just a little science experiment," Mr. Watts said nervously.
"Were you talking to someone? I thought I heard voices."
"No, no, I'm just by myself."
"But I sensed other people here."
"You-you did?"
"Yes." I changed my shape to resemble a dragon. My body was serpentine, my hands and feet turned into claws, and I had a long, flexible tail whipping back and forth. My face resembled a Teryx, and my tongue turned dark purple and forked. I began sniffing the air. "I smell the scents of people here other than you."
"You can smell them?" Mr. Watts asked, a little disturbed.
3rd person POV:
"Yeah," Alias sniffed the air a bit more. "There's eight of them. Four women and four men; two are teenagers, and the rest are adults. One of the men has *sniff sniff* a prosthetic leg, no wait, two of them." Mercury flinched. "One smells of fire dust and gunpowder. And one of them is a *sniff sniff* a faunus. A reptile, snake, no wait, ecdysozoa, arthropod, lobster? No. Spider? No, scorpion. And his tail has been cut. He has a metal prosthetic, your handiwork, I assume."
Tyrian was left speechless.
Alias' POV:
"You figured all that out from the smell?" asked Mr. Watts.
"Well, of course, you and Mr. Polendina taught me about robotics and computer stuff."
Everyone else's POV:
Arthur did what!?
Alias' POV:
"Oh yes, Pietro," Mr. Watts sounded angry.
"Are you ok?" I was concerned.
"Oh yes, I'm fine; in fact, I should be asking the same thing."
"Oh, I'm doing well, but I can't help but smell the other people very nearby. Are you sure they're gone?" I began skulking the alley I smelled it from.
3rd Person POV:
Everyone, including Salem, crouched lower on Neo's wall as Alias loomed closer.
"There's no one there," said Watts, annoyed.
"So you say," retorted Alias. He stretched his neck into the alley, just above Neo's wall. Everyone huddled together (much to Cinder and Salem's annoyance) as Alias lowered his head conveniently in front of them. Everyone was on pins and needles.
