3rd Person POV:

Ruby ran down the street, wiping the tears from her eyes, thinking about what had just happened. She stopped at an intersection and continued down the street to catch her breath.

Ruby's POV:

I sighed as I trudged down the street, thinking about what I did to Oscar. Why him, of all people? He's stood by me the most out of anyone here, well, aside from Yang. But still, I shouldn't have said that to Oscar or my sister. This mutant guy has been making me agitated for so long now I feel like I hit my lowest point because of him. Maybe I should find him and get some answers about my mom so I can feel better, but...after that fight, I'm scared to see him again.

3rd Person POV:

Jaune fervently used his semblance to heal Oscar while the others processed what happened.

"I've never seen Ruby like that," said Weiss, shivering.

"I know she's been upset, but she's never been like that," said Blake, her hands shaking from the altercation.

"Are you ok, Oscar?" Nora asked, clutching his arm out of fear.

"Yeah," Oscar coughed, "I'm fine. I should've known better than to get that close when Ruby was swinging her scythe like that."

"why'd you come back? You know Ruby was mad at you."

"I didn't want to leave her angry like that. She's been stressed, and...well, I wanted to be there for her. It always felt like we could talk to each other freely, but I guess I messed that up."

"Don't beat yourself up other this," said Blake, "we're all-"

BBBBOOOOMMMM!!!!!

Suddenly, the apartment shook violently. Everyone and everything in the city was thrown around. The ground rattled and quaked aggressively under the feet of Ruby and the townspeople. Glasses cracked, the pavement broke, and a warehouse in the distance erupted in smoke and flames.

People screamed in fear, and the massive shockwave ripped through the area, causing many people to fall and several buildings to be damaged. The Argus military base almost fell over. Ruby fell to her knees on the ground, and some people were jolting on the concrete near her.

The shaking finally stopped, and the confused town turned its attention to a massive plume of smoke on the horizon.

"What was that?" Qrow groaned, picking himself up in the apartment.

"I don't know," Jaune said, pulling Oyrrha off the floor, "but I hope Ruby's ok."

Outside, Ruby managed to get to her feet. "What was that?"

A while ago, before Ruby ran away, back in Roman's hideout, Alias rejected his proposal to work together. He saw the case Neo held with the different syringes in it and got angry.

Alias' POV:

"Where did you get those?" I hissed.

"That doesn't matter," scoffed Roman, "are you in or out?"

"I'm out! I won't join you or your group. Now give me those syringes."

"Pfft, and why should we?"

My voice became more tense, and the air around me began to crackle.

"Well, someone needs therapy, Neo dear. You wanna take this?"
