Ruby's POV:

A few days had passed since the battle with Alias, Roman, and Neo. We took some time off to recover, but we decided to meet to discuss the changes that came from it. I was still trying to process everything and didn't talk to the others much. I was sitting on my bed when Yang walked in.

"Hey, sis," Yang said shyly, "you doin' okay? You haven't spoken much for the past few days."

I couldn't look at her. "Im... I'm fine, Yang."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, we'll see you later."

As the door started to close, my gut felt twisted and queasy. Finally, I couldn't take it. "No, Yang, wait." My sister opened the door again. I felt my sister staring at me, concerned, as I felt at a loss for words. My hands shook with anxiety. "I... I'm sorry!"

Yang sat in the bed with me. "It's okay, Ruby."

"No, it isn't! I yelled at you, and I cut Oscar! My gods, I cut Oscar! I told you you didn't love Mom the way I did

"No, it isn't! I yelled at you, and I cut Oscar! My gods, I cut Oscar! I told you you didn't love Mom the way I did. I didn't mean that!"

"Look, you were under a lot of stress and needed to vent."

"And that's supposed to be my excuse? I shouldn't have said what I said to you or everyone else." Tears began streaming down my face. "It was so awful. You're my sister, and I love you, and you're as much as Mom's daughter as I am and...and..." I couldn't stop crying and wrapped my arms around my sister. "I love you, and I'm sorry."

Yang squeezed me back. "It's okay, Ruby, I'm not mad at you. I could never be mad at you; I was just afraid you wouldn't be yourself anymore after all this. You were stressed and bothered, and I didn't do anything. I should've noticed you were upset," Yang's voice started to break, and I saw her crying too. "I'm sorry, I should've done more for you as a sister, but I didn't know how. I'm not a mom regarding these things, but I've always tried my best to do my best in her place. I'll try harder for you, I promise! I love you."

"I love you too."

We embraced each other tighter as the door opened, and Weiss and Blake walked in.

"Oh," said Weiss, "didn't mean to interrupt, we'll leave."

"No, wait," I pleaded, "guys, come back." Weiss and Blake sat on the bed next to us.

"Weiss, Blake, I'm sorry for how I've acted the past few days. I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine, Ruby," said Blake. We understand what you've been going through, and we didn't think about it from your point of view."

"That mutant has really shaken you up," said Weiss. "I mean everything from your mom's ghost to the police fight and then that violent exchange with Roman and Neo. That was a lot for all of us to deal with, especially you."
