The first couple weeks of house arrest were okay. Everyone was recuperating anyways, so no one was really restless. We got a hell of a lot of wedding planning done and even sent out our invitations ahead of schedule.
At the three week mark we all would start researching then remember we weren't supposed to be and end up just staring at each other uncomfortably.
After a month we were beginning to lose it.
"I need to kick something's ass before I kill your brother." I groaned to Dean, both of us only partially paying attention to the TV.
"Fighting huh?" He asked with a knowing smirk.
"No he's just annoying the shit out of me. Like," I paused to readjust and face him, "this is the first time he's left me alone for more than an hour all month. And who the fuck gets up at six when there's no case?!"
Dean chuckled, "Hey you're marrying him."
"I know." I sighed, "and I love him but I get pissy when I do nothing and he doesn't seem to be phased at all. It's not fair." I complained.
"Well I get pissy when people complain about stupid things for more than a couple sentences so can it Gingy." He said with an overly sweet tone and smile.
Harper poked her head in at the perfect time, "Hey is it okay if Blake comes and picks me up here or should we meet up somewhere?" She asked.
"Wait what?" Dean asked, activating protective uncle mode in an instant.
"We are gonna go get some stuff for the senior project and do a little research. I ran it by Dad." She explained, "I figured since they've already been here it wouldn't be a big deal."
"Uh.... I guess if he doesn't come in it's okay, right?" I asked Dean.
He nodded and collapses back into the couch grumbling, "This used to be a secret lair..."
I rolled my eyes at him and got up to follow Harper out the door, slapping the back of his head on the way past.
"Don't call them 'he'." Harper instructed as she made her way to the front door where her purse was already staged.
"Uhm... Why?" I asked.
Harper rolled her eyes, "Because..." She sighed, opening the door to reveal Blake, "They are gender fluid."
Blake waved at me and smiled, "Hi Mrs. Winchester!"
"I- uh- Hi." I stammered.
I wouldn't have recognized them if it weren't for their hair. They wore a high waisted purple maxi skirt and an off white tucked in button up blouse with a padded or stuffed bra. They were even wearing shoes with a small heel. Their eyeshadow was blended perfectly and literally everything about their appearance was pretty.
"Mom don't be rude!" Harper muttered, elbowing me.
"It's okay Harper, I get it." Blake said with a smile, "You should have seen my sister's face when she came back from college and I was wearing her hand me downs!" they joked, getting a dazed chuckle out of me.
The laughter died down leaving me still staring, "I'm still confused..."
"Born a boy, never really liked it but I didn't hate it enough for a full change. I play for both teams depending on what gender I choose to be that day and it's totally fine if you want to use he or she for the day." Blake spouted with a smile on her face.
I let out a breath, "Okay, cool. uhhh..."
"Harpie! Wait!" Sam yelled from the bottom of the stairs, making me jump.
