A/N: it's a little shorter than normal but I'm breaking it up in parts so that it all kinda goes together ish. Yeah. Enjoy!
The more people that walked down the aisle ahead of me the more nervous I got. Harper had gone with a wink in my direction that was probably meant to be helpful but just made me think she was going to do something ridiculous.
By the time it was just Dean, Joy, and dad I was almost hyperventilating.
"Dean. He's still out there?" I asked, grabbing his arm knowing he had to walk out from behind the curtain in a moment but not really caring.
"Gingy, you're going to be alright. There's no way Sam is going anywhere. I won't let him anyways. We don't function without you anymore." He assured me.
"Thank you." I sighed, forcing myself to calm down.
He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and covered my face with the veil, "4-7-8. You look beautiful." He said.
I smiled, "Thank you. I dressed you well too." I joked.
I had all the groomsmen in charcoal slacks, cream shirts and mint suspenders with charcoal bow ties to go with my color scheme.
"There's my girl." He grinned before he turned back around.
Breathe Ehv breathe. 4-7-8. 4-7-8.
It had become a sort of mantra since we took Harper in that whenever something sucked we all repeated 4-7-8 and breathed in rhythm.
They walked out and it took every ounce of self control to keep my breathing steady.
"You've got this Ehvy." Dad said in an attempt to comfort me.
"I'm letting you walk me, dad. Don't push it." I warned him.
"Okay." He surrendered, pausing a moment before linking his arm around mine, "Thank you for not completely hating me." He whispered.
The song jumped to the bridge and my heart leapt into my throat as Dad led me out from behind the curtain before I had time to respond.
My eyes immediately searched for Sam and stuck to him like glue once I found him.
Damn I chose well.
I was very proud of myself for putting him in the charcoal shirt and cream suspenders with the mint bow tie instead of matching his groomsmen.
I prayed someone got a picture of his face as I came into view because it was priceless. His eyes went wide and his jaw dropped before he snapped it shut and bit down on his lip. I saw Harper pull out her phone from her spot up front and snap pictures of both of us the whole walk up. Sam brought his hand up to his face when I got within ten feet and it barely registered with me that he was wiping his eyes. This got me misty eyed and I almost lost it when Dad gave me up. In the back of my mind somewhere I was ecstatic he didn't pull something stupid but it didn't hit me till later.
We kept the ceremony short, that way there was less of a chance to get interrupted and were at the vows before we knew it.
Olly toddled up the aisle in his mini groomsmen attire, holding the rings up with a giddy smile on his face.
"Sam, you prepared vows yes?" The pastor asked as we both took each other's rings off the pillow.
Sam nodded and took a deep breath, "Evelynn Faye Bridge. You're perfect. What more can I say? Everything about you makes me unbelievably happy. I know I told you this when I proposed but I call you Sunshine because you are a ray of sunshine in my life. An extremely bright and irreplaceable ray of sunshine. You have kept me together and put up with me when I was at my worst and Dean can testify: that is no easy task. So I want to say thank you. You could also be my undoing in an instant and to be honest, it scares me sometimes how much power you have over me. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you and I promise to never take you for granted and protect you with everything I have, no matter how much you protest it. Most of all I promise to love you long after either of us are gone." His voice cracked at the end as he slipped my ring on my finger, a simple titanium hammered band with one diamond set so it was flush with the surface of the ring.
I tried to pull myself together as he beamed down at me, about to cry himself. I had lost it at my name coming out of his mouth and as embarrassing as it was I couldn't stop.
"Evelynn, you prepared vows as well?" The pastor asked, prompting me to speak after a silence.
"Yeah." I squeaked, "Gimme a sec."
I had to wipe my eyes and get it under control as everyone laughed at me.
"Okay. Whhoo. That was- Wow. How can I follow that?" I giggled, gaining confidence as I spoke, "You talked about my nickname, so I'm going to talk about yours. Samson was the ultimate of strong men; nearly indestructible. There are scholars who would argue he was the poster child for perfection. Sam, you are my version of perfection. You are not only strong, but you're caring and honest and you actually like all of my annoying quirks. So I don't just call you Samson because you refuse to cut those luscious locks, you ARE my Samson. And I love you. And I promise to always love you and do everything I can to let you know that. I also promise to stay safer than I have in the past. I've caused you so much stress and you've saved my life. For sticking with me through that I want to say thank you and I love you. Again. Cuz I can't say it enough." I finished strong slipping the ring that matched mine (minus the diamond) onto his finger and squeezing his hands as I looked up at him.
He mouthed 'I love you too' back as the pastor went on with his repeat-after-me's and we parroted his words.
Next came the I do's which were full of bright happy smiles, all of our tear inspiring emotion spent on the vows; we were purely excited.
The pastor smiled and said his final words, "I now pronounce you Mr and Mrs Winchester! Sam, kiss your bride."
I didn't think it was possible but Sam smiled even bigger and cupped one hand behind my jaw while his other rested on my hips before he paused to look into my eyes.
"Oh stop it you tease." I huffed, reaching up in my tiptoes and planting my lips firmly on his.
It was like our first kiss all over again. The mortar exploded in my stomach and left numbness in it's wake, the feeling only being registered where our skin touched. I was almost light headed and almost went to move my hands to his collar before I remembered there were people watching.
We pulled apart briefly and I pecked his lips a couple more times, "Wow..." I muttered between kisses, "Just wow."
I felt him smile and chuckle a little but all I could hear was everyone clapping and whistling.
When we finally separated for good we turned to the guests, holding hands and raising them up in the air. We sprinted down the aisle, practically screaming with laughter as everyone threw rice at us.
Holy shit I'm officially a Winchester
