Harper stayed glued to Sam's side all the next two days and slept with us one more night before she finally started to get it together. A good thing about having her around constantly was we got a hell of a lot of wedding planning done. Date set, colors picked, decor outlined, you name it, we had most of it planned. It was a good distraction for her.
The first night she slept by herself Sam tucked her in and waited by her bed until she fell asleep.
"Did you know her favorite song is Heroes?" Sam asked as he shrugged off his shirt and joined me under the covers.
"Yeah babe..." I grumbled, half asleep as I draped an arm over his chest and wedged my cold toes between the bed and his legs.
"I didn't know that..." He sighed, completely ignoring my cold toes, "Did you know her dad died in a car crash? She literally has no family left at all."
I nodded and traced his tattoo as I waited for him to continue.
"We need to protect her." He decided as he played with the ends of my hair.
"If I were mean I would start teasing you about being 'Daddy', but I want to keep you so I will just agree." I muttered, my mouth only barely keeping up with my brain and refusing to filter.
Sam chuckled and kissed the top of my head before going quiet and letting me fall asleep.

Our alarm didn't get a chance to go off in the morning. Harper came barging into our room at six nearly scaring us to death and yelling about something or other.
"Harpie what the hell are you doing?" I asked as I propped myself up on my elbow and gave her a disapproving look.
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK TO WEAR! I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO WITH MY HAIR OR HOW MUCH MAKEUP TO WEAR AND HOW THE HELL DO I TALK TO PEOPLE MY AGE?" She yelled as she paced our bedroom floor.
"Why does any of that matter?" I asked still slightly groggy.
"School, Sunshine." Sam groaned as he pried his eyes open.
"Oh.... I forgot about that." I muttered, "Okay, you go get dressed and I will make breakfast. I will send you to change if I don't approve."
Harper rolled her eyes, "I'm not a slut. Good God m-" she tensed up and gave me a funny look before she turned on her heel and speed walked out of our room.
Sam sat up and I used him to pull myself up then leaned against him, "I dont want to get up." I whined.
"Well you're going to have to. We forgot to register her." Sam pointed out letting his hand fall into my knee with a light slapping sound.
"Fuuuuuuck." I groaned.
Sam and I hurriedly showered and got dressed and by some miracle, I was ready first. I dressed a little less like an insubordinate hunter and more like someone who is old enough to have a teenage daughter seeing as I had to actually talk to a principal and such today.
To my surprise when I walked into the kitchen, Dean was up and sipping on a cup of coffee.
"Mornin Gingy. What's with the respectable adult get up?" He grunted.
"I have to register Harper for school." I muttered reaching for the coffee grounds, "Shit! They want birth certificates and stuff now don't they?"
Dean nodded, "Me and Lisa searched for hours because we packed Ben's in the wrong box."
"Fucking hell." I sighed pouring my coffee water into the machine then letting myself fall into a chair at the table.
"What no breakfast?" Sam asked as he crossed to the freezer and pulled out microwave sandwiches.
"Two words: birth. certificate." I sighed.
"Yeah I made her stuff like four days ago. She's a Winchester so you need your fake license and ID." Sam informed me.
This is why I'm keeping him.
An hour and a fashion show later we all piled into the car, save Dean, and drove the fifteen minutes to Lebanon High.
Walking up to the desk i internally groaned as I elbowed Sam.
This bitch is going to be a huge twat about everything.
"Hello!" I chimed leaning on the counter, "We forgot to register our daughter for this year. Who would we talk to about that?" I asked.
The woman looked up from her book and gave me the 'I'm smiling but I really want to strangle you' glare.
"me." She grunted.
"Great! What paperwork do we need?" I tried to be happy but I could feel the passive anger gushing out of this woman and I just wanted to sink back into Sam's side and hide.
Without answering she reached down and plopped a stack of papers on the counter motioning to the table in the corner.
I forced another smile and took the forms and a pen over to the table. Sam gave me the 'holy shit' look as we sat down and started filling things out.
We managed about forty minutes of paperwork in about fifteen and handed it over the desk along with a fake birth certificate and stolen SSN number.
Wow.... I went from history major with a steady job to criminal with no job and Jason Bourne fighting skills.
The woman grunted some instructions and information about how long they had to keep the birth certificate but finally she handed Harper her schedule.
"Don't we have to interview with the Principal or something?" I asked while Sam and Harper checked out her schedule.
"This isn't private school honey, we can't tell you no anyways." She crowed.
"Okay." I said tapping the counter and spinning around so she couldn't see me roll my eyes.
"Hey Dad! I've got Greek Mythology!" Harper exclaimed, really enjoying the whole family unit thing we were pulling.
"Awesome Harpie!" Sam beamed as a tall boy in basketball shorts and a school sweatshirt came jogging through the reception area.
He chatted with the secretary for a bit and by some miracle made her laugh as he plucked his new schedule out of her hands.
"Oh Dallas! Will you show miss Winchester to her first class? I think you two have the same one." The receptionist called right before the boy got to the door.
He turned around and smiled with utmost confidence, "Sure!"
I gave her a quick hug as did Sam and he kissed the top of her head before she pulled away.
"Dad! I worked on this hair!" She complained.
"It looks good to me." Dallas complimented causing Harper's fidgeting hands to drop to her sides.
"Uhm... Uh... Thanks." She stuttered making Dallas laugh as they started down the hallway.
"So you got into CALC huh?" Dallas asked just barely audibly.
Sam and I shared a surprised look before following through the door and watching them dissapear into a sea of pimply brace faced and overly made-up teenagers.
"I don't like him." Sam stated as we waded through the crowd towards the parking lot.
"Oh calm down Samson. He was just being nice." I dismissed.
Sam pursed his lips and shook his head as we swung into the car, "Dean and I were the kings of flirting in high school. That was definitely flirting."
I sighed as we pulled out of the parking lot, "Well if anything it's good for her self esteem."
Sam just rolled his eyes and changed the topic.
All we did until it was time to pick Harper up was order spell ingredients online, if we could find them.
When our phone alarms went off all three of us jumped out of our library chairs and rushed to the car to pick Harper up.
We parked facing the doors and all got out to sit on the hood and wait.
We didn't have to wait too long before we saw Dallas and Harper surrounded by three more teenagers emerge from the doors.
Harper looked like she was trying not to kill someone and immediately speed walked over to us when she found us.
"Hey there Pip! Get in any fights yet?" Dean asked as he pulled her in for a hug.
"Almost." She growled.
"I was kidding but you go girl!" Dean exclaimed.
"No Dean! That's exactly what got me suspended senior year!" Sam corrected as he got the next hug from Harper.
She released him and moved over to me next, "What happened?" I asked as I rested my chin on her head briefly.
"Some bitch called me a 'whore at the end of a long line' and snickered." She snapped as she angrily climbed into the backseat, "Then in Greek Mythology she made fun of me for liking the subject."
"Why would she call you a whore? What a little skank!" Dean proded, earning warning glares from Sam and I.
"Apparently every new girl gets fucked by that Dallas kid and I'm not sure if she meant literally or metaphorically..." Harper trailed off.
"I told you Ehvs." Sam sighed as Dean started the engine and almost every teenage boy's head swiveled to watch us in awe.
"I told him I have a boyfriend at my old school though so until me and "William" break up I'm totally fine" Harper bragged.
"Your deviousness concerns me." I sighed.
"That wasn't devious that was awkward and full of stuttering and using a fictional character's name as your fake boyfriend." She scoffed.
