"dai and i need to get home," seishun announced, holding a drunk dai in her arms.

"nooooo," dai whined. she grabbed seishun's cheeks and squeezed. "but i don't want to go yet! what about bokuto?!"

bokuto chuckled and gave her a fond look. "i'll call you tomorrow, dai! don't worry!" dai's eyes welled up with tears, startling him. "what happened?! did i say something wrong?!"

"bokuto..." dai cried dramatically.

seishun shook her head. "she always cries when she's drunk," she reassured him. seishun struggled to grab her phone out of her pocket, due to dai's tight grip on her. "i'm gonna call an uber. say bye to everyone, for us."

"i can take you home," kageyama offered, pulling his car keys out of his pockets. "i need to get home, anyway."

"what a gentleman," dai cooed drunkenly. she nudged seishun. "you should make kageyama your boyfriend!"

bokuto nodded in agreement. "yeah, i agree!"

kageyama rolled his eyes and pushed past bokuto. "how about you take your girlfriend and help bring her to the car?" he suggested obnoxiously.

bokuto quickly took dai's body from seishun, who let out a breath of relief. bokuto lifted her, bridal-style, with ease. "woah, a strong man!" dai giggled.

bokuto's face flushed a bright red. "dai, do you really mean that?" he said with stars in his eyes.

kageyama ran a hand down his face as he and seishun watched them. "no way he's blushing from that," he said in disbelief. "i guess atsumu wasn't joking when he said bokuto didn't get girls."

"you're such a bokuto hater," seishun scolded. "bokuto's a cutie."

"what happened to guys with dark hair?" kageyama asked. he gestured to his black hair for extra effect.

seishun flicked him on the forehead. "shut it, maybe dark hair's not my thing, anymore."

"liar," kageyama sang. a smirk grew on his face. "what was it that you told me, when we were kids? that your ideal type was me?"

"we don't talk about that," seishun said, her face flushing. when they were younger, although seishun had a crush on oikawa, she'd admitted that kageyama was her ideal type.

kageyama's grin widened. "so? is that still the case?"

seishun poked him with a wary look. "is this liquid courage?" she asked suspiciously.

"i've only had half a beer," kageyama replied cheekily. they both knew he would need a lot more to get drunk. they reached the car.

"should i put her in the back?" bokuto asked. he didn't flinch or seem fazed while dai flailed around in his arms.

kageyama nodded and held the door open. they said goodbye to bokuto.

"she better not throw up," kageyama muttered, pulling out of the lot.

"she'll be fine," seishun answered from the passenger seat. she pointed to the back. "see?"

kageyama looked through the rearview mirror. dai was already knocked out, quiet snores leaving her lips.

he began to drive. the two chatted about what had gone out of the party, and seishun mentioned the kisses with suna and atsumu.

"you had a busy night," kageyama murmured, in shock when she admitted it. "is that why i barely saw you?"

"probably," seishun sighed. she whipped around. "tobio, i have an important question. and you have to answer with full honesty, got that?"

a bit concerned, kageyama slowly nodded. "okay, i will," he agreed. "what's your question?"
