epilogue

"ready for your big day?"

sprawled out like a starfish on their shared bed, ryuen seishun stared up at the ceiling. "do you think i can get another hour of sleep?" she mumbled tiredly while rubbing her eyes. 

before she could even consider rolling over, she felt a familiar weight drop on top of her, pinning her down. a grunt escaped her lips as kageyama tobio collapsed onto her playfully, his muscular body instantly making her laugh despite her exhaustion.

"nope," kageyama announced, his voice deep and raspy from sleep as he buried his head into her neck. he peppered her skin with a series of soft pecks, drawing giggles from her that he could never get enough of. "we need to leave in an hour."

seishun groaned loudly, her body unwilling to even consider moving. she clung to the warmth of the bed, eyes half-lidded in an attempt to drift back to sleep. "i don't want to."

"too bad," kageyama said firmly, lifting her up in one swift motion. his arms enveloped her as she instinctively clung to him like a koala, her legs wrapping around his waist as he started to carry her towards the kitchen. his hands fell on her waist with ease, fingers brushing against the hem of her shirt. "come on, let's get you ready."

"tobio, i'm tired," seishun whined as she buried her face in his chest, her voice muffled as he walked. she groaned louder, a half-hearted protest that kageyama simply chuckled at.

"why's that, baby?" he asked, his tone teasing, though he knew full well the reason.

she pulled away just enough to glare at him, her eyes narrowing into slits. "whose fault do you think it is?" she hissed, her hands coming up to pinch him hard on the shoulder. "who's the animal that decided to go at it until four in the morning?"

kageyama's grin widened, a cheeky glint in his eyes as he leaned forward with mischief written all over his face. "who's the one who begged me not to stop?" he shot back, grinning even wider when seishun's glare hardened.

in response, she leaned forward and bit down on his neck, catching him off guard. kageyama groaned—half in pleasure, half in pain—but seishun only bit harder until she was satisfied with the purple mark that slowly bloomed against his skin.

"you happy now?" kageyama rasped, his grip on her tightening as his half-lidded eyes met hers. seishun felt a shiver run down her spine.

"ses," she responded defiantly, though her body betrayed her as heat rushed to her cheeks. "and no, we are not doing it again."

kageyama pressed a kiss to her hand when she tried to cover his mouth, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "ten minutes," he murmured, nuzzling her neck again, much to her dismay.

"you're acting like a horny teenager," seishun huffed, though there was a softness to her voice. she tried to resist, but with each kiss he placed against her skin, her resolve weakened.

"i haven't seen you in a month," kageyama pouted, his lips brushing her ear. "i need to recharge."

"were you not recharged after last night?" she asked, exasperated.

kageyama stubbornly shook his head. "not even halfway."

seishun let out a long, drawn-out sigh, her fingers threading into his soft, dark hair. with a tug—firm but not too hard—she finally pulled his head back and gave him a look that could kill. "it's like you want me to lose today."

"never," kageyama responded without hesitation, his tone serious as he nuzzled her again. "i'd be giving you another dose of good luck."

seishun snorted and rolled her eyes, though her heart fluttered. "you mean another set of hickeys?"
