"sooo, what's on our agenda?"
kageyama hummed, one hand on the steering wheel and one hand interlocked with seishun's. "mm, i was thinking of just walking around, first. there's a festival going on, outside of my apartment complex."
"ooh, really?" seishun said, eyes shining. she was always a sucker for festivals and the fun ambiance of them. "what festival is it?"
kageyama shrugged. "i couldn't tell you, even if i wanted to," he said. they both knew kageyama never paid attention to that stuff.
seishun was already excited for the day. "and after the festival?" seishun curiously asked.
a laugh fell from kaegyama's lips at her eagerness. "well, i'm not sure if the festival will have food you like, since you're a picky eater," kageyama said, chuckling when seishun swatted him. "but after the festival, i was planning on cooking us dinner."
seishun perked up. "ooh, what are you going to make?" she was always eager to eat kageyama's cooking. he was surprisingly a pretty good cook, but not many people knew about his secret skill. only seishun, hinata, and his family.
"anything," kageyama chuckled. "you tell me, and i'll make it."
seishun tapped her chin thoughtfully. she didn't really have a favorite meal out of kageyama's dishes. seishun would really just eat anything he made. "actually, surprise me."
"y'know, you're usually a picky eater," kageyama began. "ever since we were kids, you'd never eat anything. but you always eat whatever i make you, why's that?"
"probably because you used to threaten to beat me up if i didn't," seishun snorted.
kageyama's head whipped towards her. if there was a sentence he hadn't expected to come out of her mouth, it was that. "when did i ever threaten to beat you up?!" he exclaimed, eyes wide.
"don't you remember?" seishun laughed. "when i was, what, seven and you were nine, you started cooking classes. and you'd always make me try all of your mystery concoctions."
"those 'mystery concoctions' were either fried eggs or miso soup," kageyama flatly replied.
seishun waved a hand. "yada, yada," she said. "but i was always scared to eat it because the food would always be this weird color, and you used to threaten to beat me up."
kageyama huffed, finally recalling the old memory. "see, even the younger version of me knew how much of a picky brat you were."
she laughed at his words. "but, your cooking has really improved since then," seishun noted. then, she scratched the side of her head. "but i took the same cooking class, and i suck."
"you're not as bad as you think," kageyama chuckled, trying to comfort her.
seishun gave him a dirty look. it was easy for her to see through his lies. "you haven't let me go near the kitchen since i was ten."
"that's for your own safety," kageyama interjected. seishun caught the smile on his lips, and he didn't bother to hide it. "and maybe mine, too."
seishun would've smacked him harder, but he was focusing on driving. so, she unfortunately had to hold back. "continue with our agenda," she haughtily huffed.
kageyama was relieved to know he wouldn't be getting slapped, like he usually was whenever he teased her. "well, there's not much else," kageyama hummed. "i was planning on just relaxing, especially since you're tired."
seishun tilted her head, thinking back to his earlier words. "eh?" she said. "then what'd you mean by not getting any sleep?"
kageyama spared her a glance, a mischievous glint in his eye. "i was talking about movies and games," kageyama innocently said.
