"we've heard a lot about you."

bokuto smacked atsumu on the arm. "atsumu, that's a horrible way to greet someone!" the owl-haired man ignored atsumu's glare and beamed at seishun. "hello, i'm bokuto kotaro!"

seishun bowed half-heartedly. "ryuen seishun." she made eye-contact with hinata and a grin fell on her lips. "oh? hinata shoyo?"

hinata had a huge grin on his face. "hi, ryuen! it's nice to finally meet you!"

"same here," seishun replied. "tobio talks a lot about you."

bokuto, sakusa, and atsumu were startled by the sudden mention of kageyama tobio, one of star players on their rival's team. they had no idea seishun and kageyama knew each other.

"kageyama definetly only said bad stuff about me," hinata said with a huff.

seishun smirked a bit. "a lot of complaining from his side, that's for sure."

"you know kageyama?" bokuto asked. atsumu and sakusa awaited seishun's answer, equally as curious.

seishun hummed. "yeah, we're childhood friends."

"was kageyama the one that taught you how to set?" atsumu asked suddenly.

seishun glanced his direction with a tilt of her head. "eh, you could say that."

"no wonder it sucks."

seishun blinked, a light smirk falling on her face. "does it?" she replied. "then, you have any pointers for me?"

atsumu crossed his arms. "ya bet i do."

"yeah, well, i don't take advice from old men."

atsumu raised an eyebrow. he had never once been called old in his life. at least, not yet. "old? who're you calling old?"

seishun grinned, and began to mop once more. "maybe you should take a seat. don't want your blood pressure getting all too high, do we?"

"seems like ya got kageyama's attitude, too," atsumu replied with an amused grin. "how cute."

seishun tilted her head with a slight grin and turned away. "ah, hinata, i'm meeting tobio after this. did you or your friends want to come and see him?"

hinata waved his hands to reject her offer. "no, no, it's okay! we've got practice with kenjiro-san, soon! but, we'll definitely take up your offer, next time!"

"yeah," bokuto agreed. "i haven't seen kageyama in a while! i wonder if he's gotten taller..."

seishun nodded. "alright," she said. "it was nice to meet you guys."

hinata and bokuto waved. "bye, ryuen!" they walked away, sakusa following without a word. atsumu stayed back for a minute, a thoughtful look in his eyes when he studied her.

"something on my face, miya?" seishun questioned, leaning against her mop.

atsumu grinned and turned away. "see ya around, ryuen seishun."

seishun watched as the four figures left the gym, and she was left on her own. her mind went back to hinata's words. "eh?" she murmured. "did he say oto-san?" with a moment of thought, seishun only shrugged and continued to clean.

eventually, seishun finished and went to the locker rooms to shower and change. by the time she was done, miu was waiting for her with a wry smile.

"thanks for leaving me back there," seishun said while poking miu.

miu grinned. "i'll let the celebrity deal with her fanboys."

they exited the gym together, and seishun double-checked that she had locked the doors.
