seishun had informed her teammates of every weakness to keep in mind. she offered advice on what to do and what not to do. by the time, seishun was done, they all had it memorized.
now, they were taking time to rest. seishun was alone, leaning against the wall on a random court. kumi, miu, and dai had gone to grab a meal, but seishun hadn't gone with them. she was replaying all of the shots tsukki and her teammates had made and visualizing how she'd play.
then, her phone buzzed. it was a text from kenjiro. she'd forgotten about him, quickly reading the text. "i'm here," she read aloud quietly. "and i have a present for you."
seishun blinked quizzically. what was that supposed to mean? seishun replied to the other texts, asking where she was. seishun dropped her phone back on the ground and leaned her head back against the wall. her eyes fluttered close for a moment of rest.
"there you are, sei-chan."
seishun's eyes flew open at a familiar voice. she blinked multiple times, eyes turning into the size of saucers. her gaze fell on the tall figure standing a handful of feet away from her. "no way..." she mumbled.
oikawa tooru chuckled and opened his arms. "you aren't going to give your favorite person a hug, sei-chan?"
seishun pushed herself to her feet, falling into oikawa's warm arms. oikawa pulled her tight into his arms. "tooru," seishun got out, still in disbelief. "what...are you doing here?"
"i'm here to see my favorite person, of course," oikawa smiled. he reached up and cupped her face, moving it from side to side. "you've grown up so much, sei-chan."
seishun felt nervous in oikawa's presence, especially with the way he was staring at her. "well, it has been four years," she said. seishun eventually pulled away from his warm grasp. "how have you been?"
"good," oikawa hummed. he was still surprised to see how much seishun changed, how she had grown into a whole different person, in those four years. "i've been counting down the days until i could see you again. and little tobio, of course."
"you were planning on visiting?" seishun questioned. her conversation with kageyama, the day before, was still fresh in her mind.
"of course. it's just been a busy few years, trying to get used to a whole new life," oikawa explained. he looked around the court. "but it's nice to be back. really nice, actually."
seishun exhaled and looked up at oikawa. his features had grown much sharper, and he looked more like a man, than the high-school boy he had been. "how long are you staying for?"
oikawa grinned. "around a month," he said, chuckling when seishun perked up. "my schedule freed up a lot. i'll come back, in the summer, for two months."
suddenly, they heard another voice. "seishun, there you..." kageyama turned into the courts, his voice trailing off when he met the gaze of oikawa. kageyama's stiffened. "oh, fuck no."
"that doesn't seem like a warm welcome," oikawa grinned. oikawa couldn't help but chuckle when he realized kageyama was slightly taller than him, now. "look at you, little tobio, all grown up."
"shut it," kageyama snapped. "why are you here? go back to argentina."
oikawa wrapped an arm around seishun, leaning his head against hers. "i came to see my sei-chan, of course. why else?"
kageyama reached over and pushed oikawa's arm off. "hands off, oikawa," he glared. kageyama glanced at seishun. she didn't seem to be as nervous or embarrassed in oikawa's presence, anymore, which relieved him.
