Getting out of the glider, you and Wall are immediately ushered to the medical bay. You barely get the chance to glance back at Jonas, who's already watching you go. Suyin walks determinedly toward Jonas, looking angry.

"You couldn't bring Toshi back? Why not?" Toshi and his wife were close friends of Suyin, so she's angry and upset.

"He closed the hatch. He saved us."

"You left him." She states, letting her anger out on him. Jonas just looks at her in disbelief, and moves to go to the med bay. "You left him because that's who you are." She tells him as she starts following him. "You are the guy who leaves people behind." Jones stops and turns back to her, annoyed she's again keeping him away from going to you.

Jonas looks at Suyin angrily, but remembers that you wrote about a Suyin in your letters. You've become close and consider her and her daughter as family. You cared for her, so he decided to not let his own anger out, just focusing on the fact that you had all lost someone and Suyin probably felt the loss of Toshi and just let her anger and frustration out on him.

"You go that deep, you take your life in your hands. It was your choice to send them down." He says and looks at Mac who's been listening. "This is why i don't do this anymore, Mac." He tells him and walks off to find you.

...

Jonas finds you in the med bay, sitting with Wall, trying to comfort him.

"How is she?" Jonas asks Heller.

"She got a beating, a few bruises and scratches, but nothing serious. She'll be fine. Won't need to stay in the med bay tonight either." Heller tells him.

Jonas stares at him for a few seconds before walking away, toward you who is now free since a nurse took Wall for a blood test.

"Jonas." Heller stops him. Jonas slowly turns around. "I'm sorry.. I was wrong." He apologises.

Jonas just stares at him with a blank look, before giving him a small nod and continuing on his way over to you. But a voice takes his attention from behind Heller. You had watched as Jonas stared Heller down, before your attention went to a voice calling for you.

"Yn!" A high-pitched voice rings through the room. You look to the entrance, coming running towards you from behind Jonas and Heller, is Meying.

"Meying!" You smile and open your arms for her, helping her up beside you on the patient bed.

"How are you feeling?" She asks you.

"I'm okay, sweetie." You reassure her.

"I was worried about you, but then the crazy man told me he came to save you." She tells you.

"The crazy man?" You ask smiling as you look up at Jonas who is now turned toward you watching the interaction with a ghost of a smile on his face. "He's not crazy, he was right."

She looks at him with a sheepish look. Jonas chuckles and walk over to you.

"Jonas." You whisper, still in disbelief that he's here.

He looks at you for a long moment before he finally takes your hand. You look down at your hand, rubbing your thumb over his calloused hands, savouring the feeling of having him there, before looking back up at him.

"I'm sorry for not believing you." You tell him.

"You didn't call me crazy." He says looking to the side at Heller, he gives his back a glare.

"Well.." You start and he whips his head back to you, making you laugh. "I did call you crazy in a few other circumstances, like when you jumped of that building and into-" He interrupts you.

"Hah! And who was I jumping off after, huh?" He asks smiling.

"Touché." You tilt your head at him with a smile.

You look at the man in front of you. And you feel like something is finally okay again. Sure, you had found a way to be happy, but it was always something missing. Every time something good happened or you did something fun, you thought of him and that you wished he was there.

When you looked around at the bottom of the ocean after you breached the thermocline, the beautiful view, your head as usual brought Jonas to the front of your mind. Thinking about how you wished he could see it too.

You got your wish this time, though not exactly as you imagined. The fact that he came all the way here and after all this time to save you, made your heartbeat quicken. You tried to calm it by starting to talk.

"Thank you." You tell him.

"Nothing to thank. I didn't save everyone." He looks down at your hands in his.

"But you came and you tried." You tell him. "I know that, Wall knows that. Even Toshi knew that. But the Meg came and there wasn't time."

"The Meg? Megalodon." He corrects you with a smirk.

"Nu-uh. I can't pronounce that without stumbling. I rather not make a fool out of myself." You tell him and he laughs.

You smile at his lovely laugh, that you've missed so much.

"Okay, Meg then." He says.

"I've missed you."

He looks down guiltily.

"I've tried writing to you." You tell him, he nods slightly.

"I'm sorry I haven't written back."

You're glad he's gotten the letters even though you hoped that maybe the reason he hadn't responded was because he hadn't gotten any of them.

"It's okay." You say, trying not to sound disappointed.
