The Meg (Jonas x reader)

Chapter 15

"What we got, Jax? Anything?"

"Yeah. Here's where we saw Morris tag the shark." She answers, pointing to her screen. "But here is where it's going."

"Sanya Bay. What's there?"

"Oh, nothing." Dj says. "It only has some of the most densely populated beaches in the world."

"Any luck with the authorities?" Jonas then asks Mac, who walks up to them.

"No. 'Prehistoric shark' sound like a damn prank call." He answers frustrated and hands you the radio. "We can't rely on them for anything."

"How long until the shark gets to those people?" Jonas asks and Jax answers 20 minutes. "Can we get there first?"

"Doubtful."

"Yeah, we're gonna have to." Mac says.

"Getting there first won't mean anything if we don't have a plan." You say from your seat with Meying on your lap.

"I have a plan." Jonas says and lead everyone toward the screen with a map.

"Here's where we do it. Right here in the shallows. Use the gliders and go after it." He says.

"Okay, so, how are we gonna get it here when there's a beach full of people to eat right here?" Mac asks, pointing to Sanya Beach.

"You ask it out for dinner." Suyin says, holding her phone up showing a whale song recording.

You all go to prepare the beacon and the gliders.

...

"So, how you wanna do this?" You ask Jonas as he does some adjustments on your glider. While you stand beside it, getting ready.

"Is that you asking my opinion?" He teases.

"No.. I was just being polite before telling you what we're actually doing, so you feel better about yourself." You joke, with a smug smile playing on your lips.

"Appreciate that." He tells you with chuckle. Mac shouts for him to come get ready, since his glider is ready.

"Ready to go." Mac tells Jonas when he reaches his glider.

Jonas takes a step to get into the glider but hesitate.

"Jonas?" Mac asks confused.

Jonas takes a step back, looking down at the glider. Then he turns to his friend beside him. Mac raises an eyebrow at him. Jonas then turn to look at you by your glider. He gathers all of his confidence and walk toward you in a determined stride.

"Yn." He says and you turn around to his voice. He's walking toward you, only a few more steps between you, as you take a step toward him in confusion.

"Jonas?" You ask, but the moment he's in front of you he grabs your face and pulls you in, crashing his lips with yours.

It earns a surprised gasp from you at first, but then you immediately move your lips against his. Your hands go to his chest fisting his wetsuit, drawing him impossibly closer. He moves his hands from your face and embraces you, lifting you slightly up while not breaking the kiss.

"ABOUT TIME!" Mac exclaims and everyone cheers around them.

He pulls back from the kiss, and look at you. Seeing you smile brightly at him, he instantly relaxes. Slowly, he puts you down but doesn't let you go.

"I should've done that a long time ago." He mumbles staring at your lips and then looking into your eyes.

"Yes, but late is better than never." You tell him and kiss him again, before ushering him toward his glider.

You turn to your glider with a huge grin on your face. You laugh when you see Suyin and Dj smiling at you, as you get into your glider. Jonas reaches the edge of the boat again and goes to get into his glider.

"I'm proud of you, brother." Mac tells him. Jonas just smiles at him, with a light chuckle. Proud of himself to, and relieved of your reaction.

...

"We're close enough. Stop here." Mac tells the captain. "Jax, Dj, we gotta get that thing in the water."

"Yeah, we're on it." Dj tells him as they get the beacon ready.

...

"Any last thoughts about our plan?" Jonas asks you through the coms.

"Not dying would be a good start."

"Sounds good." He agrees and looks over, but sees the Meg coming toward you. "Yn, look out! Get out of there!" He shouts.

You dive forward and away from the sharks bite. Jonas tries to aim at the Meg.

"Damn it!"

"What's wrong?"

"Can't make the shot. It's too close to the ship." Jonas evade it, but the shark keeps coming back towards him.

"Jonas, it's on you." You state.

"Jonas, what's going on down there." Mac asks through the com.

"Trying to stay out of its mouth!"

...

"Oops." He looks at the damage on the side of his glider.

"Yn, are you set? I'm coming to you."

"I'm in position." You tell him.

"Shark's getting close. I need a little breathing room." He tells you.

"I'm ready to fire."

"Take the shot." He tells you and you fire. And Jonas moves out of the way.

...

"Anybody see it?" Jonas asks.

"Can't see the shark, but somethings going on up here." Mac says looking at the helicopter flying around them.

You blink with the lights on your glider. "Okay, I've got her attention."

"Bring her to me." Jonas tells you.

"Here we come."

He starts blinking his light to get the Megs attention.

"Make your move, Yn." Jonas tells you and you move your glider away. "Chew on this, you ugly bastard." Jonas says and he fires. But the gun doesn't go off. "No, no, no!"

...

The pilot got distracted by trying to see what's happening underwater, and doesn't see it's about to fly into another helicopter. The camera man gets his attention and the pilot turn the helicopter in time but only to accidentally hit the other. The two helicopters crash and one of them is about to crash onto the ship.

"Go, go, go!" Mac exclaims.

He gets everyone around him to jump off the ship. Dj grabs Meying and throws her over board, jumping after her. The helicopter crashes and explode on deck.

"Where's Dj?" Jax asks after resurfacing and not seeing him around them.

"I don't know." Mac answers.

"Where's Meying?" She asks also not seeing the girl.

"I don't know!" Mac yells. "I couldn't see her anywhere."
