By the time it was dark enough for fireworks, you were feeling a lot better. Hatori had already attended to you, and while you had a lot of bandages and bandaids covering your body, the pain had significantly reduced.

At first, the younger kids were mortified at the amount of bandaids and bandages that were covering you, Kisa even cried in your stead. Momiji and Tohru did everything to tend and keep you happy for the day, despite them having wounds themselves.

Haru had apologized for not being able to do anything, and you were glad he didn't get hurt. And well Yuki... he simply looked at you in guilty eyes, and didn't come close to you. Perhaps he was afraid he would hurt you, but that simply wasn't possible. You realized he would come around when he had sorted his thoughts out.

"Which one first?" Kyo asked, as the kids excitedly looked at all the fireworks and their wide range of choices. "Leave that to me! I've already decided which is first up!" Momiji excitedly responded, you smile before ruffling his hair, you were glad to see him back to his usual cheerful self.

"Here we go!" The young boy yelled once again, as everyone gathered around the snake firework. However as it came to life, you, Tohru and the kids couldn't help but stare at in disappointment. "...Is that fun?" Kyo asked, questioning the state of the firework as it looked more like poop than anything.

Whilst you all stared at the snake, Tohru naturally got involved into a conversation with Kyo. The two staring at the sunset, and watching the beach waves as they conversed and laughed. And for a moment you take a look at them and realize what Momiji had meant last night, the way they looked at each other, was similar to how Yuki and you look at each other.

"Who wants to light a flower pot?" Haru asked, holding up the triangular shaped firework in his palms. You, along with the kids, excitedly watch as Haru lights the firework, and watch as it grows in size, amazed at the colorful fire.

"Woah!" You say, your eyes glued to the firework. From beside, Yuki watched as well, however he couldn't help but stare at you. The way the light illuminated your face and the way your eyes twinkled. He bumped his shoulder against yours, as you turned your attention to him, offering him a huge smile.

"Okay kids! Let's switch focus!" You say, handing them all a sparkler each. The three excitedly wait for you to light it, "Before I light it, you have to be careful okay? If you think you're gonna get hurt, drop it, alright?" You carefully instruct them as they not in response. You light the sparklers, and watch as all their eyes sparkle in amusement.

"Wow!" Kisa says, as she attempts to write her own name. Hiro drew random shapes in the air, however he was more mesmerized at the girl beside him than the firework in his hand. Momiji excitedly ran around with the firework in his hand, the kids following suit. You laugh at their childishness, before making your way over to Yuki and Haru.

"I want to do this one." Haru spoke, holding a rocket in his hand and the instructions in his other hand. "What does that one do?" Yuki asked, as he gently ruffled your hair when you stood beside the two of them. "Dunno." You brother responds, as you sigh at his antics. "Yuki, read the instructions." He asks, handing over the isntructions to Yuki.

"It says don't point it at people or buildings." Yuki said, reading the instructions out loud, however Haru, unknowingly had already pointed it straight at Kyo. "You're pointing it straight at me." Kyo grumbled, as you laughed. "Don't worry, I know you can dodge it, Kyo." Haru responds, only causing you to laugh more.

"You brat." You say, laughing at the situation, in addition to fake punching Haru as he stares at the pile of fireworks. "Nee-chan, do a firework with me." He says, feeling a little neglected as all your attention was either on the kids, Tohru or Yuki. "Bet! Which one do you wanna do?" You ask, surveilling the pile of fireworks.

With the help of Yuki's instruction, You and Haru had placed the rocket into a glass bottle. "Okay we light it on 3, and then run." You tell, as he nods in response. The two of you hold onto the sparkler, and light the very end after Yuki counted down. And then ran for your lives. You laugh watched the kids flinch in response to the sudden rocket.

"Tohru-chan! Do a rocket with me!" You call out, as the girl finishes her sparklers with Kyo and makes her way over to you. "What?! A rocket!" She yells, flinching as Haru lit another one. "Don't worry, it'll be fine! You only live once!" You say, as she nervously stared at the rocket into your hands, before sighing and laughing, agreeing with you.

"Okay, here we go." You say, placing the rocket into the glass bottle, as Tohru lit another sparker. "(Name)-chan..." She nervously called out as she approached you, you held her hand that was holding the sparkler. "On 3 okay?" You tell her, and she frantically nods. "1... 2... 3!" You yell, as the two of you light the end.

You grab Tohru's free hand before making a run for it. Tohru began laughing at the sudden running, and soon you do too. The two of you admire the rocket as it flew into the sky. She calls out to Kyo, asking him to do one with her.

Meanwhile, you notice Yuki sitting on the stairs by himself, playing with two sparklers at once. "Tired?" You ask, taking a seat beside him, as he handed you one of his sparkler. "A little." He responds, as you rested your head on his shoulder, admiring the sparkler in your hand. You drew the letter Y in the air, as Yuki watched. And then drew the letter of your own name.

"Such a child." He says, as you drew a heart around the two, causing you to laugh. "Oh yeah? You pedo." You say, sitting straighter and looking at him. He looks at you, his fingers reaching for your cheek and lightly tracing the outlines of the bandaid. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." He says, as staring into your eyes. "It's not your fault."

"I'll do better." He says, and you smile. He leans forward resting his forehead against yours. You hear the loud bang of the fireworks up in the sky, it seemed Haru and Kyo had figured those out, and you hear the laughter of the children as they watched with amazement. Yuki leans, connecting the two of you for a moment. A slight brush against your lips, leaving you all giddy and happy.

He leans back into place, pretending nothing had ever happened. And soon the rest of the group joined as all of you sat and watched the fireworks up in the sky. You forgot about the curse, or last night, or Akito. You were simply in the moment, watching fireworks with the people you deeply cherished.
