"Isuzu-chan?" You call out, in confusion as to why she was wandering around the estate. The girl halts at the sound of your voice and turns towards you. "(Name)." She says, waiting for you to catch up with her. You walk towards her, feeling glad that she didn't fully run away this time.
"Are you doing well?" You ask, as she resumes her walk, seeming like she was headed somewhere in a hurry."Yes." She softly says, before glancing at you and smiling, "And you?" She asks, her eyes on the amount of bandaids all over your face. She had briefly heard of what had happened with Akito and was upset there was nothing she could do, yet again.
"I'm good too!" You tell her, returning her smile. Isuzu hummed in response. Silence befell the two of you, as you both mustered up the courage to ask about two different things. "Is.. he doing alright?" Isuzu asked, breaking the silence first, glancing at you. You smiled at her hesitancy and nervousness, "He's alright, the usual y'know?" You lightly respond, not seeming to give it too much thought.
For a split second, Isuzu wondered if you could possibly hate her, for hurting your little brother and causing him so much pain. "I.. didn't hurt him on purpose..." She quietly said, you stare at her in surprise not expecting her to say that. "Not only do I know that, but he does too." You respond, taking her hand into yours and giving it a squeeze. She seemed to be more at ease after hearing your response.
"Isuzu-chan, can I ask you something too.." You say, becoming fidgety as it was now your turn. "You're trying to break the curse right?" You ask, attempting not to beat around the bush, she lightly nods, not bothering to hide it anymore. "Well, let me help you." You say, as Isuzu frowns, about to find a reason as to why you couldn't.
"I know what you're going to say, and yeah it could be dangerous but.. like how you have someone you want to protect, I do too." You tell her, trying to stay confident so she would allow you to help her. "I want to be able to touch the person i love without having to fear a transformation, or to be able to hug my little brother without him turning into a cow or for all my friends to stop being tied by a curse.."
"You are just like your brother." Isuzu responds, after a moment of silence. She sighs, unsure of whether she would regret this or not. But she wanted the extra help, especially if it came from the sister of the person she loved. "I'll be in your care then." She added, as you sighed in relief, smiling brightly at her.
Just as you were about to celebrate, Isuzu stopped walking, running into someone familiar. "Tohru-chan?" You call out, noticing another familiar face a place where they aren't supposed to be. She greets the both of you, before coming up to the Isuzu. "What a coincidence! A-are you feeling better now?" She politely asked, looking up at the taller woman.
"I've told you before but stop hovering around the Sohma's." Isuzu coldly says, catching you off guard. You had never seen her act so coldly to another person, especially considering how she was over at your house a lot, ever since she was a child, because of Haru.. she was never this cold.
"Isuzu-chan.." You softly call out, watching as she walking on ahead, after giving your hand a squeeze as a goodbye. You turn your attention back to Tohru. "Tohru-chan, she's usually not that cold. I'm sorry." You apologize on Isuzu's behalf, and begin to lead her towards the exit of the estate.
"O-oh! No need to apologize!" She responds, waving her hand and reassuring you that she was alright. "What were you doing here?" You ask, not used to seeing Tohru at the estate. "I came to see Shisho!" She says, referring to Kyo's adoptive father. You hum in response, as silence befell the two of you.
It was rather quiet, but neither of you hated the silence since it did allow you to think. However your thought process was interrupted when Tohru asked, "Is that Hatori-san?"You glanced at where she was pointing, squinting your eyes to get a better look. It was in fact Hatori, with... Tohru's home room teacher, Mayu.
"That is Tori-chan.." You mumble, the two of you watching him from a distance. Mayu was crying at a bridge while he gently comforted her, a look of tender love on his face. "I think he's finally found his spring." ☁️☁️☁️
