Now here I was yelling at my brothers best friend. My face was surely red and so was Jack's.... from laughter. That only made me angrier. I continued to yell at not so innocent Owen while relinquishing the new found anger from Jack. For some reason I couldn't make myself be mad at Jack. However it was easy to be livid at Owen.
My screaming (and Jack's laughter) continued until three nurses, my brother and my foster mom showed up. Once I made eye contact with Grey I knew I was in for a treat. He would hate me for rejecting his friend. Did he even know about that?
Well he was about to find out.
"Owen hit on me. He thinks I'm his property or something!" I yell pointing at not so innocent Owen.
My brother's eyes fell on Owen. Bingo! Owen hadn't told Grey about his little crush on his sister. He was soo dead. I smiled cruelly at Owen. Then I put on a fake frown for my brother.
That is when Grey started yelling. And I must say that it feels great to get your brother and his attractive best friend kicked out. I began to laugh only to feel the remainder of the people in the room have their eyes on me. Wow, I feel so special.
My foster mom just gave me that go-die look. Jack just gave me that you-shouldn't-have-done-that-but-it-was-hilarious look. And one of the nurses stood there awkwardly because the other two had already left. When the nurse finally turned around to leave I spoke up.
"Can you take my.... foster mom with you?" I was reluctant to say foster mom. It's so weird even now seven freakin years later.
"Of course sweetheart. What about the boy?" She asks while she begins to escort my foster mom out. Her eyes narrow on Jack. Why does everyone hate him so much?
"He can stay for a little while longer."
"Are you sure because you need your sleep." She began. I knew I want getting any sleep anyways. Plus it's not like I didn't just sleep for hours while I was knocked out.
"I'm positive." I'm getting a little irritated at everyone right now- in case you haven't noticed.
In a matter of seconds it was just me and Jack....again. was I supposed to yell at him now? Nah, I settled for slapping him. It stings your hand a little but had better end results. Jack rubbed his face angrily clearly contemplating what to do next. Was it okay to hit girls in his world? I hope not because he is much stronger than me.
He doesn't do anything he just did there awkwardly. We sit in unbearable silence for way too long. But if course someone has to burst into my room. We both look at the angry girl looming over me.
"Hey Jasmine. What's up?" I say nervously.
"Really? That is all I get! How come I didn't get a call from my best friend not her dumb foster mom?" She fumes. Wait my foster mom was considerate? That's a first. "I thought we were friends and yet you have a baby and a secret boyfriend and.... do not tell me you are prego!"
"I'm not-"
"You don't get to talk!"
"But-"
"But nothing!" She looks at Jack. "Who is this?"
"This is-" I was cut off once again.
"Shut up, Sky!" How ask I supposed to answer her question if I'm not allowed to talk. If she would just listen.
"I'm Jack." He says defensively putting a hand in my shoulder. Which I quickly shove off. He sends me a hurt look. However I don't really care. I hurt my only friend.
"Did I ask you?" She demands of Jack.
He still decides to stick up for me, "Well the person you asked couldn't answer because you kept telling her to be quiet every time she tried!"
