"You have to bury your father before we leave, Sky." Harlem comforts me by rubbing my shoulders. I know what you are thinking, Harlem really? However my only other friend kissed the boy I- she kissed Jack. "I might suggest burning him instead. It would be quicker for us all."

"Yeah, yeah. We can do that." In all honesty I haven't been myself this past week. In a way my wall still stands tall, but there is a little ditch that a stupid worm has dug underneath it. "Burn him. Quicker... Right."

"Right." Harlem smiles at me then looks at my plate of food which is only half eaten. "You need your energy. Better eat up."

"I'm fine, Harlem." I offer a half smile. She looks at me in a way I can't describe. "You can have it."

"Thanks... I mean you need it more." She smiles then begins to walk off. "You have a big day today. Really big. Now, I am off to see Farrah. I'll be back in a bit."

With that she is gone. Poof. Her sudden interest in Farrah is sorta creepy. The past week she keeps going to see Leo or Farrah. It is too weird.

"Hey, Skylar, what's happening?" I turn to see Danica.

"Go away, Danica. I do not want to deal with you right now."

"I know you hate me right now, but you are one of my best friends. Can't we get over this together?"

"We were friends. Now we are not. Now leave." Maybe I could have handled that better, but in all honesty I just wasn't over it all. My life has been so very confusing lately.

Then of all people Jack comes up. Followed by my sister.

"Danica leave." Sadie says keeping her eyes trained on me. Her fingers slip around Jack's wrist and she pulls him closer to me. After Danica hesitantly walks out she speaks up once more. "Jack, tell her you care about her."

"I do care about her, Sadie. However I am dating Danica." He grits his teeth as he says it.

"Then break up with her."

"No."

"Yes."

"Why would I do that. At least she wasn't embarrassed to be seen around me." He looks at me.

"Do not bring this on Sky okay. She is my sister."

"I thought you didn't care anymore." I shout getting involved in their argument.

"I thought about it really hard, Sky. No matter what happens, you are still my best friend." She hugs me. Wow, I could have gone without this sappy moment. On top of all things that has happened this just seems... I don't know...

"Jack, please leave. You do not even deserve to be near me."

"Nope, I never did, and that is why you saw me kissing Danica and not you!" He raises his voice a little. After a couple seconds he realizes how mean that truly sounded. "Sky I-"

"Jack, just go." I whisper very quietly. At first I didn't think he heard me because he just stood there. That is until he finally decided to turn around and leave.

"Sky, I am sorry." He stops at the door for only a moment. Once I see he is gone I let the tears I had been holding in come down.

"Sky, it will be okay." Sadie rubs my back comfortingly.

"Sadie go away." I yell at her. This is just getting frustrating. I stuff my hands into my pockets and plop into my chair. To my surprise there was something inside my pocket. A note. "Nice try Jack." I mumble as move my hands to tear it up, but I stop myself. I had to see what was written inside it.
