Jiya didn't like her mother's idea of a prenuptial agreement. She was not yet married, and her mom was contemplating divorce. The talk about Vikrant's early death spoiled her mood completely.
She was wondering what kind of mother she was. How could she think like that? At first, she pressured her to get married to Vikrant, and now she repeatedly talks about his old age.
It was sometimes difficult for Jiya to tolerate her mother's behavior. She used to measure everything with money. The importance of money in life cannot be ignored, but there is a place for love and emotions in a person's life, which always weigh more than money.
At times, Jiya was afraid that her mother would create problems between her and Vikrant.
While she was upset here, Vikrant was happy there. He was feeling extremely happy, thinking that Jiya did not even look at those papers, let alone read them. He was relieved that she was not like her mother.
She was a nice girl. She was not just beautiful; she was also good at heart, and most importantly, she really loved him. He could feel her love. Her love for him is crystal clear, like a diamond, without any pretense.
When he got home from work, the whole atmosphere had changed. Anu and Mayank were happy. The reason was Rahul's arrival at the house.
Rahul was a handsome young man of twenty-four. Looking tall and wide, he looked no less than a model. He was the son of Vikrant's friend. His mother died of cancer when he was young, and his father died soon after. Since then, Vikrant has taken on the responsibility of looking after Rahul.
Although his father had left a lot of property for him, in the name of the family, he had no one except Vikrant. He had great respect for him.
He had gone to London for studies and returned recently. For Mayank, he was no less than a hero. He had habit of teasing Anu. He always teased her with different names.
The kids were playing video games with him. As soon as he saw Vikrant, he smiled and walked towards him.
"Hello uncle, How are you? Why did you get late?"
"Hello Rahul. I'm good. There was a lot of work in the office today, so I got late. When did you come back from London? If you have told me I would have at least sent the driver to pick you up at the airport."
If I had told you in advance, then there would be no surprise. Just because of my surprise, I got to see such happiness on the faces of Anu and Mayank."
"Daddy, Rahul bro, has brought me two video games."
"Hmm, you've got all the spoilers. Abha, please keep an eye on Mayank; otherwise, he will spend all his time playing video games."
"Daddy, I'm not a kid anymore, so I don't need to be watched."
She started teasing him, "Yes, seeing Rahul, you have grown in a single day."
"Sister he did not bring any gifts for you; that's why you are teasing me. You are simply jealous."
"Why would I be jealous? I am Vikrant Kapoor's daughter, and I have all the expensive things. The thing I put my finger on, Daddy brings it to me on a whim. I don't need any gifts from Rahul."
Rahul laughed out loud.
"Grapes are sour. When one does not get anything, one says such big things.
You and your fights will never end. You guys fight; I'll get freshened up and see you later."Vikrant had gone to his room, and Abha had gone to the kitchen to see the preparation of dinner. Mayank got busy playing video games, and Rahul was sitting on the balcony talking to Anu.
"Why didn't you bring gift for me?
"I came; isn't that the greatest gift for you?"
"Stop talking nonsense. You are so stingy. You didn't bring even a small gift for your friend."
"Don't behave like a kid. Look towards me."
Anu, looking into Rahul's eyes, felt that Rahul was not only her friend; she was also beginning to like him.
"What are you thinking? Just close your eyes."
Rahul put a chain around her neck with 'best friend "written on it.
As soon as Anu saw the chain, she hugged Rahul happily.
"It's a beautiful chain. I liked it lot. Now I will never take it off my neck."
Thank God you liked my gift.
"Why did you lie that you didn't bring me anything?"
"Just to annoy you.I love teasing you."
Anu and Rahul were busy with their conversation. During the conversation, Anu told Rahul about Vikrant's decision to get married, which he was surprised to hear.
"What made him marry after so many years?"
"He could have married Abha Aunt when you guys were young. It would have benefited both of them. She must have been disappointed by his decision of a second marriage. Uncle made her fool. Uncle ruined all her dreams, which she had for so many years of marrying him."
"Rahul, stop laughing. Don't make fun of Abha, aunt. She is a good lady."
"Okay, fine. So, to whom is he getting married?"
"Jiya, the daughter of Mallika Sharma."
"Now who is this?"
"She is the life of Page three parties. Mallika Sharma can be seen at every party. Do a search on social media, and you will find both."
Anu's friend had called; she had gone to her room for a while to talk, and Rahul was in his room, googling Mallika Sharma and her daughter Jiya on the phone.
Mallika Sharma was fit and beautiful even at this age. In one or two news reports, she was also given the name Gold Digger. When she saw Jiya's pictures, his mouth remained open in awe. For a few minutes, he was mesmerized by her looks.
He understood the reason behind Vikrant and Jiya's incompatible marriage.
Vikrant was after Jiya's beauty, and she had an eye on his wealth.
