Chapter 52

Today, Anu again dared to go to Vikrant's room to talk to him about Jiya.

"I want to talk to you, dad."

"Of course, you must have come here to talk about Jiya. What do you want to say? I don't understand why my children are always worried about her.Now tell me what you want to say, I'm listening."

"Daddy, I and Mayank want you to think about Jiya once again. She made a mistake, but she's not wrong. Rahul might have mixed something in her food, due to which she got carried away. She loves you so much. I have never seen her talk about Rahul, not even accidentally.

There are so many people who play with other people's emotions for their own benefit. You think calmly for once about all the things that Jiya said while leaving home."

Vikrant did not get angry this time, closed his eyes, and started thinking about what Jiya had said.

"Anu, you are still young; you will not understand these things. What you are advocating is not worth it. Do you know how mean Jiya is? She blamed poor Abha for her illicit affair with Rahul. She said that Abha used to give her sex drugs mixed in juice. She is not clever enough to do such things. She could never do such a thing."

"Oh! dad nowadays, everything can be found on Google. There's a reason for doing so. With Jiya's arrival, she started feeling insecure. She had feelings for you, but she could never tell. She thought that you would never get married and that she would convey her feelings to you at the right time, but suddenly Jiya came into your life, and she lost the chance to tell you how much she loves you.

Jiya's beauty and young age began to irritate her. She always treated her well, but still, the growing love between you two and her attachment to us created a sense of insecurity in her. Aren't all these reasons enough to make her Jiya fall in your eyes?

If she liked her so much, why didn't she stop her from leaving the house even once? Why didn't she convince you to bring her back home? Instead of convincing you, she reaches your room every day with a glass of milk at night. We are not so small, Daddy; we also understand everything."

"Is there anything left to say? If not, then go to your room. There is no need to peek into your father's personal life."

Anu had gone to her room after listening to her father. After she left, he was thinking about what she had said. Then there was a knock on the door, and Abha appeared with a glass of milk in her hand.

On seeing the glass of milk, Vikrant remembered Anu's words, and he started smiling.

"Why did you bring a glass of milk late today?"

"I saw Anu coming into your room. I thought she must have come to talk to you about something important, so I didn't come to disturb your personal time.Good night, Vikrant; I'm leaving now."

"Wait a minute; I can't sleep."

She was sitting on the sofa in front of him.

"I am thinking of divorcing Jiya. After what she has done, this marriage has no meaning. What's your opinion on this?"

"I think you should give Jiya another chance. She is innocent and young in age. In such a situation, it is natural to stray. This is Rahul's fault. He ran away, hiding his face. Poor Jiya alone became a victim of your anger. Give your marriage one more chance and see Vikrant; maybe everything will be fine."

"Hmmm. Thanks for your advice; I'll think about it."

After Abha left, Vikrant was thinking that either Abha is really a very good person or she has heard all the things Anu said while standing outside the room.

It was not about forgiving Jiya; it was about finding out the truth about Abha. For Jiya, there was no feeling in his heart at the moment except hatred.

Since that day, it has been quiet. She had already stopped wandering around Vikrant. She was more angry with the children. She had taken care of them like her own children, and now they are supporting Jiya instead of supporting her.

Someone has rightly said, "No matter how much you love someone else's child, they will never be your own."

Jiya had started applying for the job, but due to her lack of experience, it was becoming difficult for her to find one. There was a time when Jiya used to roam around in expensive cars; there was no shortage of servants in the house. Today,  she was wandering here and there for a job.Mallika was worried about her.

When she spoke to Aman about this, he suggested that until she gets a job of her choice, she can teach in a school or at home.

Jiya liked Aman's suggestion. She was beautiful to look at, and her English was also top-notch, so there was no problem getting a job at the school. She started teaching at home as well as at school.

Jiya and Mallika were not living a life of luxury, but they were still happy. After separating from Vikrant, she realized how important it was to have a job. She had never thought of her career in such a serious way. Shortly after graduation, Vikrant came into life, and then she got married.

She was married to such a rich man that there was no need to think about getting a job. When her marriage takes a U-turn in life, only her job and parents come to her rescue. She had also taken this bad experience of life positively.

She enjoyed teaching children so much that she decided to make teaching her career. Her daughter was eight months old. She couldn't stay in one place. She used to crawl the whole day. She would neither sit quietly nor allow her grandmother to sit quietly.

Mallika would often say in jest. "Jiya, your daughter has saved my gym expenses. She never lets me sit quietly for a minute, and once she gets angry, she cries for hours."

'Nothing can be done. She has her father's genes. Though he is of a calm nature, once he gets angry, it is difficult to calm him. She has my eyes only; she is more like her father. Whenever I ask where Daddy is, she points to his picture."

She got emotional while saying this. She didn't know how she would respond to Jeevika when she grew up and would ask about Vikrant.

"Why don't you tell Vikrant about Jeevika? Once he sees her face, he will be convinced that she is his daughter."

"Mom I am scared of things getting worse. What will I do if he insists on taking Jeevika with him? He is a rich man. If he can take her custody by proving me characterless in court on the strength of his money, then what will I do? I can live without Vikrant, but not without my daughter."
