Rahul was not interested in attending the family dinner with Jiya today, but he could not say no to his uncle. Just for his uncle's sake, he agreed for dinner. Both Anu and Mayank were more excited about meeting Jiya than dinner, as they both loved her.

Everyone had gotten ready for dinner, but Abha was still in the simple clothes in the house. She refused to go because of her ill health.

Rahul whispered in Anu's ear as they sat in the car.

"I feel that Abha Aunty's health is never going to be okay now. Her health is going to decline day by day."

"Why's that?"

"Because my uncle is getting married to Jiya."

Rahul started laughing.

"Oh! Rahul, stop making fun of Abha Aunt. She has no romantic feelings for Dad."

"You're still a kid. You are quite young to understand all this."

"Stop calling me a kid. In a few months, I will be eighteen. I have my mind. I am not a fool."

"When we don't use something for a long time, it catches rust. The same thing is happening with your mind as well."

"Oh! Rahul, stop teasing me now, or I will complain to my dad."

"See, you are still a kid; you can't handle your matters yourself. Talking about complaining to your dad."

They were so busy teasing each other that they didn't know when they reached the hotel. Vikrant and Jiya were already present at the hotel.

Vikrant introduced Jiya to Rahul.

"This is Rahul. Though he is my friend's son, to me, he is just like Mayank."

Rahul extended his hand for a handshake, but Jiya thought it better to do Namaste with folded hands instead of shaking hands.

Rahul felt bad about it. Anu was about to laugh, but seeing her dad's stern expression, she remained quiet.

"Jiya asked. Why didn't Abha come with you today?"

"She wanted to come, but because of a sudden headache, she didn't come."

"Oh! I hope it's not serious. You should have called me Anu."

"She's fine, Daddy; it was just a little headache."

"Okay, let's order food."

Jiya didn't like Vikrant's concern for Abha, and Rahul realized it.

Rahul was paying close attention to Jiya's behavior. He thought that Jiya would be arrogant and rude, but nothing of that sort was visible in her behavior. She was talking a lot with Anu and Mayank. The children were happy too. but she was ignoring Vikrant completely.

He was admiring Vikrant's choice in his mind. In fact, his uncle had chosen the most exquisite diamond. Jiya, in her casual jeans-t-shirt with no make-up look, was looking attractive beyond words. She had something special about her. He understood now why his uncle had chosen her for marriage.

After dinner, Rahul went home with Anu and Mayank. Vikrant and Jiya had gone for a walk on the private beach of the hotel.

Vikrant was walking on the wet sand, holding Jiya's hand.

"Are you angry with me?"

"Hmmm."

"There is no need to be jealous. After Neera's demise, she has taken care of my children, not like a nanny but like a mother. For me, she is just a nanny for my children."

"I understand all this, Vikrant, but what to do with my heart? I don't know why I didn't like that woman. I can't explain it to you in words.

I'm sorry, Vikrant; maybe I'm beginning to love you more. All this is the result of my deep love for you."

Vikrant had pulled Jiya close to him. "You don't have to apologize. If you show concern for someone else, I also won't feel good because I love you more than you can ever imagine."

"Ha-ha. You are repeating my dialogue."
The moment I look at you, my mind stops thinking. By the way, did you like Rahul, and why did you not shake hands with him?"

"Honestly speaking, I didn't like his vibe. I felt the same uneasiness that I felt after meeting Abha. Now don't ask me why, because I don't know the reason myself.

Your heart is so big, Vikrant. You think so much about everybody's well-being."

"Being rich doesn't mean I should become selfish. God has given me so much that helping someone is not going to make me poor."

"Hmm, you're right."

Just a month is left until the wedding, and it feels like a year. Sometimes I feel like taking you somewhere far away where there is only me and you—no responsibility, no burden. I'm so tired of working. From home to office, from office to home, and useless business parties, all this makes me bored.

With you in my life, life is beginning to feel like 'life'. I want to live with you. I am eagerly waiting for the wedding day."

"I feel the same, Vikrant, but sometimes I get scared whether our marriage will work or not. I want us to have a happy married life."

"Why are you thinking like that ?"

"Yesterday, there was an article on social media about us. In which our marriage was written as an incompatible marriage. I was given the title of Gold Digger. It was written, I am marrying you because of your wealth."

"And what was written about me?"

"Let's talk about something else."

"Tell me Jiya."

"That is, you are fond of young girls, and you will leave me as soon as you have your fill."

Vikrant was angry upon hearing this, but then he controlled his anger and started talking to Jiya with love.

"We both know what the truth is, and we don't need to explain it to anyone else. I don't read social media news, and you also stopped reading."

"Where did you read that?"

After hearing the name of the website, Vikrant called his secretary, Rajesh, and asked him to resolve the issue.

"Jiya, I love you, and you love me. As long as we both trust each other and are honest with each other, there will be no problem in our marriage. It is not fate that decides what happens in our lives; it's our decisions. One wrong decision can ruin your life, and one right decision can make your life worth living."
