*Whiplash's P.O.V*
Her smile, her gorgeous smile lit up her face once more as I walked, or excitedly dragged her around the festival.
For some reason I had a horrible feeling in the back of my vocal processor, but I ignored it. I probably shouldn't have.
After a while She got bored as more and more people left, and frankly, so did I. Coming to a quick agreement, we decided to leave. Comfort returned to my body as I slipped back into my original form, and a sense of security filled me as Rachel climbed in beside me. She wore a tired smile, but yet she still radiated beauty.
I couldn't help but smile as she looked over at me. "So did you have fun today?" I ask, shifting in my seat. She blinked and smiled, nodding. Satisfaction came over me and I let out a small sigh through my nose. Turning my attention back to the road, she rested her head on my shoulder, nuzzling it a bit to get comfortable. I couldn't help but chuckle at the way she did things so cutely.
I drove on in a calm silence. The base was about a good seven blocks away, but suddenly the horrible feeling came back, even stronger this time. Quickly I spun the wheel as a black and red Lamborghini came into my rear view mirror. "Whiplash, what's wrong?" Rachel's sweet voice asked, but I couldn't answer her, not now. The only safe place that was closest was the forest. I skid to a halt in the middle of a large, tree surrounded clearing.
"I need you to get out and hide, and no matter what you hear or see. Do. Not. Come. Out. I love you." She looked shocked, and I smiled sadly. I shut the hologram off and unbuckled her, shaking my body side to side. Reluctantly she got out. After a moment of hesitation and a second to look at her, I sped off.
I struggle to control my back tires as a large blast shakes the ground right where I once was just a moment ago. Skidding down a small grass hill I sat waiting on the bottom, silently watching the top of the hill. "Whiplash!!" Rachel calls frantically. Growling as I hear loud footsteps I shoot up the hill, transforming just as I speed over the top.
"Back off BlackStride!" I bark, glaring daggers at my former 'brother'. He snickered and took a step towards the tree I last saw Rachel hide behind. "Ah, little brother, how good it is to see you again! It's been Solar cycles!" BlackStride tried to start a conversation as if we were back in the wars, But I wasted no time in shutting him up.
Using some of the moves Jazz provided me, I spun on my right pede and let the other fly at his facial plate. In a quick flash 'Stride had my foot in a death grip, metal grinding painfully as he spun me around, forcing me onto my back.
"I've always been stronger then you little brother, and I will not be defeated today, or any other day." 'Stride snapped, pressing one of his pedes into my chassis, metal grinding on metal, fragile glass cracking. All I could do was scream out in pain as my pain sensors overtook my entire body. After a moment he let his foot up, and I took in a sharp intake of air. He leaned down, putting pressure on already pained wounds as he leaned forward. "Now, you have something that I want, and I know she is around here somewhere." He said, looking around. Using my neck as support, something cracking as he walked away.
Oh scrap.
I knew that crunch anywhere, I had heard it before, and it chilled my very spark. That was the sound of a voice processor breaking. I had heard it numerous times, and this was no different. Desperately I tried to cry out, to tell Rachel to run, but nothing came but horrific static.
"I can hear you little one, your heart is racing quickly. Are you scared of little ol' me?" I heard 'Stride coo, looking for Rachel.
I had to focus, focus on healing just as Jazz said. A soft, barely audible static hum rose from the crush remains of my vocal processor, and I shut down my optics. Suddenly a voice snaps me back to reality. "You should be the one who's scared! Whiplash is going to kick your skidplate to the next universe!" The angelic voice barked at him. Suddenly a loud breaking sound and a tree flew over my head, landing at a heap in front of the other, still standing trees.
"For all these years I've known you, I've never thought you could be so tough, for a fleshy." 'Stride chuckled, and a soft whimper was all I could hear in response to him. Something flashed, and a voice, similar to 'Stride's spoke up, and I mentally scolded myself for not squishing him sooner. Jack.
"You were a fool for trusting that crankshaft, He will only get you killed, while as I-" Another bright flash, and I internally growl as my once true friend called me such a name. "I can keep you safe. You'll never have to worry about a 'Con attack when you're around me. You will be respected as a 'Con, and that power of yours will come in handy." BlackStride tried to coax her.
"No! I'll never join you!" Rachel shouts, and my spark soars. 'Does she really have that much trust in me? And all I've done is get her hurt or taken...' My processor repeats sadly. Suddenly a loud shout and a scream made me turn my processor, a bit painfully to say the least, but I was concentrated enough that I was slowly healing. My spark nearly stopped as I saw Rachel laying a few feet away from me. A small trickle of glowing blue liquid seeped down her cheek, and her eyes fluttered shut.
Oh my Primus.
She wasn't human.
She's a cybertronian.
As I had heard Rachel say while watching some kind of documentary, I 'played possum' as BlackStride walked over and picked her up like a ragdoll. Transforming he went away, my precious Rachel in his cab as he took a dirt road and out of sight.
Once again I tried to call out, but again all that came out was putrid sounding static.
I lay there, in the same place, for what seemed like forever, before my vitals checked okay enough for me to move. Slowly rising to my pedes, I look around, staring at the road that my old friend went down. For a moment I thought, before smiling. With a satisfying beep my radio clicked on, and I tried my best to speak.
~Don't worry- Beautiful-I won't let- The boogeyman get you~
Satisfied with myself for now, I transform, taking off down the cloudy grey dirt. ~I need- A- Carwash- after all of this- Is over~ I grumble, feeling the dust feather into the bottom of my pedes and my back. As fast as I could I drove down the road, making sure not to total myself in anyway, I rushed through the woods.
~Don'tcha worry- Darlin'- I'll help ya- Through this- I'll getcha- Life back together~
