I pant roughly as I round a corner, squatting down to hide behind a large cement slab. I calm my breathe, taking a quick peek around the corner, forcing myself to hold back a chuckle.
Over at the other side of the large room sat Whiplash, a small, dirt, and ripped blanket covering his head, the glow of his eyes peering out a hole. He sat on his behind, his knees curled up to his chest, arms crossed firmly over them. It seemed as if he thought he would never be found if he did that, but sadly, it wasn't enough.Thornly insisted that we play a game to get to know each other, or more specifically, get to know the giant, thirty foot tall robot.
My head snapped back around the corner as  I saw a shadow coming towards me, skipping happily over to the large robot.
Thornly spun on her toes in the middle of the room, trying to see either one of us, almost instantly finding Whip.  Her footsteps echoed away from me, and I dared to take a peak out of my hiding place.
She giggled and tiptoed over, his eye must've closed because the bright red light dimmed a bit. He visibly tensed as she got closer, a rather loud sounding chuckle coming from his chest. She crept over, placing a hand on his large foot.
"Found you, Whip!" She laughed happily. The robot laughed and sighed happily, carefully standing back up to full height. He raised his arms over his head, stretching them up with a 'whirr' sound. He plucked the blanket off, throwing it to the side with a smile.
"Well, now what do we do?" He asks, shuffling on his feet once Thornly walked back to the center of the room. I crane my head back around, pressing my back against the wall, braced to run if she sees me or tries to tag me.
"We find Rachel silly! She's in here somewhere, but I just don't know where." She states, and I can hear her footstep get closer then farther, closer then farther. She was searching for me, and now, She was getting pretty darn close to me.
I hold my breathe, clasping a hand over my mouth to keep from making any noise. Suddenly an idea strikes me, and I smirk. I lean over and grab a piece of rock, chucking it to the side. It lands with a satisfying 'clang!' noise.  The shuffling of feet leaves, along with the large 'bang bang' of Whip's feet.
I peek my head around the corner, seeing that both Whiplash and Thornly were searching for me through a large pile debris.  I silent snuck over to another slab of concrete that sat next to the one I was at, this one facing out towards the window.
Surely I wasn't all that lucky, because my foot smacked against the slab, sending me toppling head over heels. I land on my stomach, the wind knocked out of my chest. The footsteps, both large and small, came closer to me, and suddenly the large room echoed with loud laughs.
"Rachel?! Are you okay!" It wasn't really a question, more of 'that's the stupidest thing I've ever seen my sister do!' kind of comment. I roll my eyes and lay my head on the floor, drawing my arms under my chest and pushing myself up.
"No, I was just taking a nap in the dirt. What do you think happened?" I snap, sarcasm lacing my voice. That only coaxed them to laugh harder, and I couldn't help but laugh along.
I suddenly felt a hand on my stomach and I looked down, still chuckling. There in front of me stood Thornly, her hand on my stomach. I roll my eyes, smiling and picking her up. She gives me an evil smile back.
"Now let's go! I won and you promised if I win-"
"That I'll take you to Bot's Burgers! I know! How could you remember that, but not remember when to clean your room?" I ask, a half smile on my face. She shrugs, wiggling her body to tell me to let her go.
I set her down again, gently stroking her hair. An engine roar makes me jump, and I send a glare over to The black and red striped Camaro. Another roar is my answer, and the car shifts, probably impatient.
"C'mon! I've, as you humans say it, got 'A need for speed'! let's go!" He called, and before I could respond, Thornly was already skipping happily over to the robot car.
A sigh escapes my lips and I smile, rolling my eyes. I quickly run over to the passenger side door, but it refused to open. I cock my head to the side for a moment, staring blankly at my reflexing. The back window rolls down, and Thornly's head pops out. My eyes trail her arm, holding the front passenger door securely shut.
"You need to be in the front! We can't be around here looking like the car is just driving itself! That'd be crazy! Then people would want to hurt him!" She chimed, pulling her head back into the window. The engine gave another roar, and I groan , walking over and plopping down into the drivers seat.
The seat-belt streaks across my vision, clicking me in gently. The top strap snaps my under arms, and I yelp in pain, raising them up.
Thornly chuckles. "He wants you to put your hands on the wheel before he goes." She laughed. I growl softly and grab the wheel in a death grip, my under arms still stinging with pain.
"Alright! Let's go!" The radio chimed happily. I smirk and roll my eyes, nodding my head. We quickly take off, slipping through the garage style door, back out into the now dark, bustling city of Detroit.
