*Rachel's P.O.V*
Somehow Whiplash managed to stop laughing after about five minutes. Now the only question was, how to bring Nitro-strike back without anybody seeing him.
"Why can't it just be as simple as him attaching to you somehow?" I question Whiplash, trying not to be knocked over as Nitro nudged his head against me, wanting more attention then merely petting his nose. Whiplash just shook his head. ~It's not- that- easy, darlin'.~ He said. With a final, grouchy nudge Nitro knocked me over and licked my face, then strode over and sat next to Whiplash's leg.
I huff and wipe off the glowing blue slobber and stand up. "Then how do we get him back to the base?" I ask, dusting myself off. Whiplash made a rumbling noise, a hum to cybertronian ears, before perking up and holding a finger up. ~Back- to our old- base!~ He said, transforming on the spot. It was a good option, since it was so close to the edge of the forest.
He revved his engine, the sound of the radio changing channels before his auto-voice came back on. ~C'mon, let's- hit the dirt!- It's only- a vorn- away if we- hurry!~ He chirped through the radio. Nitro stood up and I hopped into Whiplash's driver seat. Again Whiplash revved his engine, turning a U and shooting through the trees. I looked in the rearview mirror, chuckling as I saw Nitro following us at a gallop, his tongue out the side of his mouth, some dust coming out of his nose, as if he were a real dog running behind a human owner. Whiplash and Nitro dodged through trees easily.
Soon enough we were at the edge of the forest, the back of our small garage in view. Whiplash broke through the trees, followed by the large robo-dog. Whiplash stopped outside the door, opening my door and letting me out. He transformed and knelt down, grabbing the door and prying it up. He looked over at Nitro, clicking and nodding his head towards the door. Nitro shimmied under the door and looked at me. I walked in after Nitro, and Whiplash slipped under and closed the door.
Almost instantly Nitro curled up in a corner, his optics fading to a soft blue, soft gurgling and growling noises coming from his corner. Whiplash chuckled from in front of the door. The sun had already set outside, making the inside of our little home almost pitch black. The only things I could make out were Whiplash's glowing blue eyes, and something softly glowing under his 'chassis' as Ratchet called it.
The next thing I knew his hand light grabbed me around the waist and he pulled me to his chest. It was only then that I realized he was laying down on his back. He laid me down on his chest, draping a hand over me.
I smiled and relaxed, the sound of his sleeping form lulling me to sleep.
