*Whiplash's P.O.V*
Proudly I walked out of the training room, instantly getting attacked by questions from Bumblebee and Bulkhead. I explained the routine to the two, and they both agreed. They walked away, beginning a new game on the TV.
A sudden buzz caught my attention for a moment, but after I looked over I quickly realized it was Rachel's phone. I felt her shift on my shoulder plating for a second before getting comfortable. The next thing I knew, the phone bounced off my pede and landed softly on the ground.
A flurry of deep brown caught my vision over my shoulder and I instinctively reached out. In my hand laid Rachel, tears streaming down her cheeks and her hair cascading over my digits. I cupped my other hand under the one that held her and brought her close, fearfully calling her name.
I placed my thumb on top of her chest. Her breathing was abnormal, compared to the way she always breathed when she leaned against my interior seat. Her 'Heartbeat', as she called it, was unregularly fast, thrumming against her chest.
By then Bumblebee with Sari on his shoulder, Bulkhead, Prowl, and Optimus all ran out, hurriedly asking me what was wrong. Ignoring their intensive questions I pushed past prowl and Optimus who stood behind me, speding down the hall and calling Ratchets name now, holding Rachel close to my spark.
Soon a grumpy looking Ratchet stepped out of a room, glaring at me as I quickly rushed past him.
"What in the name of the Allspark is Going o---?!" He stopped, running over to me and slowly uncapping my hands. "Quickly, put her on the table, now!" He ordered, running over to one side of the table and setting out a bunch of medical equipment. I quickly but gently set her down, smoothing her hair so it draped over her left shoulder.
Ratchet immediately started doing scans on her body, the green light shining over her small body and the rest of the table. The light finally flickered off and I look up at Ratchet, who was hooking her up to what looked like a heart monitor. A quick steady beat began to fill the room.
"Her heart rate is too fast for a normal human, we need her to calm down!" Ratchet exclaimed.
In horror I put my finger under her hand, and almost instantly it calmed down to normal. Ratchet looked up at me incredulously, as if I had just destroyed Megatron with just a string. "How did you do that?" He asked quietly, looking between me and her. I looked down at the small girl.
Instead of shock and pure sadness she had on her face first, she had a calm face, almost a smile of sorts.
Something wet dripped down my facial plate, and with my free hand I wiped it away and looked at it.
An oil tear sat on my finger.
I was crying, for once in my life I was actually crying.
I was crying for her. I couldn't bear to see her hurt. And right now, it killed me inside.
I would make the Decepticons pay, but not just for me, but for Rachel and Thornly. They threatened her family, and now they were going to pay for their mistakes, and I would make sure of that.
For some reason I feel a strange and strong bond with Rachel, and up until now I never knew what I should think about it. But now I know what it's called, and I can't help it now that Thornly has told me.
It's called love.
I... I love her.
