a little 'fair race'

I got a couple of odd looks when Whiplash drove by other cars. I mean, it's not every day you see a seventeen year old girl 'driving' a 2012 Chevy Camaro Z11 with a black and red striped paint job. Being short for my age, I looked rather out of place.
I silently sigh as we pull off the road, heading down to the rather empty looking parking lot that surrounded the burger joint. The once cooling vents that blew on my face shut off with a hiss, and Whiplash physically tensed.
"It smells putrid!" He gags, slowing down a bit. I smile and laugh, Thornly just tilting her head at my behavior, not understanding what he meant.
"I know it smells bad! Every fast food place does." I explain through cackles. There was an awkward silence before a small 'ohh' rang through the radio. He pulled up in a space in front of the building, more like taking up two places at once. But I didn't care though, No one was really around, so who would notice?
I unbuckle myself and rub my under-arms, still feeling the soreness of The robot's 'lesson' on when to look like you are turning or not. I grab the door handle and push, but it wouldn't budge, So I gave another push, but again, it resisted. I turn and give the radio an incredulous look, raising my eyebrow as I hear Thornly's door open freely.
"C'mon Whiplash, Let me out!" I state, giving the dash-board the best fake puppy dog eyes I could muster. The car's body shakes and The vents puff in my face, making me think he was sighing. "But you always stay with me when I take you somewhere. What if the decpeticons attack and I'm not there to protect you?! You can't go!" Whiplash whines, almost sounding like a robot five year old.
I roll my eyes and smile softly at him, lightly stroking the dash-board. His engine purrs happily, which almost sounded like a big cat were to have purred. "Aww Whip, we'll be fine! You're just outside so you can look in and see us. I promise, we won't take more then five minutes. Now please, let me out?" I ask again.
The door opens with a click, swinging open. He sighs again, Shifting his body slightly, The rear view mirror turning to look at me. "Alright, But I'm counting!" His voice hinted a bit of seriousness, but the rest was mainly a joke.
I smile and nod, heading over to the restaurant where Thornly stood impatiently. Her arms crossed over her chest and her left foot thumping on the ground lightly, but a small smile was on her face. I couldn't help but smile and shrug. "Hey, I had to have him let me out some way. So, we have five minutes."
She groaned a bit and turned around, walking towards the door. "Fine, but you owe me a milkshake!"
I roll my eyes and follow her inside.
This was going to be the longest five minutes ever.

(*Whiplash's P.O.V*)
I kept my rear view mirrors on her as she ran to catch up with Thornly.
Rachel made it seem like my job was a chore more then a blessing. I may have been a Decepticon at one time, but things have change, and now I want to see this girl happy. When she smiles, It sends my engine into overdrive. Just the sound of her voice made my spark soar. I- What am I saying?!
I shake off the thought, deciding to go in shut down for the few earth minutes Rachel had promised until they were back. Well, it was a nice suggestion though. My rear view mirror tilted to the side as A car's engine revved loudly in my audio processors. A sleek black Ferrari 255 pulled in beside me.
The human in it pushed his door open roughly, ramming into my side. I grumble lowly, not enough for his weak human ears to have heard. He steps out, and I finally get a good look at the jerk.
He was tall compared to Rachel's height. He had short black hair, and a jacket with a large T sitting right on the left side of his chest. The jacket was a bright orange color, The sleeves a plain white to match his white pants.
He looks me over and smirks, taking something out of his pocket and tossing it in the air casually. They shone every time they were thrown up, but I didn't know what it was. He suddenly slams his car door and walks along my side, The shiny object dragging along my paint. It took every ounce of resistance I had not to transform and squish him, but a sudden shout made me calm.
"HEY! Get away from my car!!" Rachel's voice was laced with pure anger as She stomped up to my line of sight, rounding my hood angrily. She growls and stands right in the person's face, jabbing an angry finger on his chest.
"What. Do you think you're doing to my car?!" She snaps. He cackles evilly, pulling up and leaving one final, deep scratch in my side. Oh, if only Rachel weren't there...
"I just saw a car that was nicer then mine, so I had to change that. But, I also see something that  I DO like, so why dont'cha just hop in the back seat and we can have a good time, huh hun?" He cooes. GRR! That's it!
I rev my engine loudly, making Rachel look at me and smirk. She snaps her head back to the jerk, competition written across her features. "I'm not your 'hun', but I sure as all heck can beat you in a race!" She challenges.
He seems taken back, but snarls and nods at her none-the-less. "Fine." He snaps. "First one to the construction area first wins. And when I win, You have to do everything I say!"
She snickers. "And if I win, you fix my car, and leave any other car alone!"
He huffs and nods again, getting back in his car. I feel a gentle pressure in my back seat and look back to see Thornly sitting comfortably in the back. She wouldn't have a problem with it, would she?
Rachel runs over and hops in quickly, looking like she were ready to start. "Alright Thornly, buckle up, this might get a little bumpy..." Rachel warned, and Thornly did so quickly. Suddenly the Ferrari is already ahead of me, smoke billowing from his pipe. I soon take off, making haste to catch up.
I felt so free! We were soon, as the humans say it, 'neck in neck'. My gauge quickly reached well over one hundred, struggling to keep his slow pace.
A bright red light blinds me from behind and I nearly swivel, but just barely catch myself. The guys car slows down incredibly, finally pulling off to the side. "Whiplash! We need to stop, there are cops behind us!" Rachel squeal.
I tilt the mirror to the side a bit and get a better glimpse. A small yellow car was following us, a light plastered on it's hood. The one thing that startled me was the autobot symbol on the front grill.
I sped up, now hitting over 120. I swerve expertly, keeping the bot from coming up besides me. All of a sudden, my back left tire is nothing but useless rubber, falling limply behind me. I once again look back. The little Twerp had shot my tires out! Skinny cannon like arms sat on either side of the cab, both blue stinger looking things point at me.
I groan and slow down. Once he's beside me, my real body takes over and I stand up fully, holding both girls in my clasped servos. I look around hastily as The small yellow car stands as well, taking a ready stance, aiming the stingers at me.
In a last resort, I set The girls down by my feet and snarl, my large hand being replaced by my famous sparking whip. I hear the girls gasp. This wasn't what I wanted, but I had to protect them, at any costs.
