Oh...My...God....
It all happened too quickly. At first I was standing in front of a CAR that had saved me from a killer Callie, now I stood in front of a giant black and red striped foot.
My eyes traveled up the long, bulky leg, up to a large chest. The once tinted black glass window now hung in front of his chest, making it look almost like a shield. My eyes flickered down to his hands. There was a point at the end of his hand where his fingers turned a crimson red color, just like his racing stripes.
I take a hesitant gulp and look up at his large shoulders. Large wheels hung from his shoulders, slightly dirty, probably due to driving in the junk-yard and the highway. I slowly look up to his face.
He dawned a helmet style look, The black and red striped helmet covering his forehead and chin, the rest of his face was free to be seen. His...'skin' was a grey-ish color. His eyes were the only thing that caught my attention; they were a soft, almost glowing red color, not at all violent looking, only...worried? concerned? scared?
I feel Thornly shuffle and grab my arm in a death grip, trying to pull me back with her. She was looking as well, probably more terrified then I was. We were proportionally smaller then him, making me feel like a little toy doll compared to his large stature. Thornly grabs my shirt and tugs back, but I shake my head.
"I-I don't think...he wants to hurt us..." My voice was small, a small amount of fear etching it's way into my voice, but I kept the rest at bay. Thornly shuffled her feet, creeping closer to stand by me.
I looked at her through the corner of my eye. She was staring at the ground, looking at his monstrous feet.
My eyes lifted back up to meet his. "Is this...what you really look like?" I ask nervously, swallowing the forming lump in my throat. A smile creases his mouth and he nods.
Thornly's grip releases on my arm as she hesitantly steps forward, looking up at the tall bot. "Is this what the other robots look like? Like you?" She asked, her innocence once again taking over her voice. He seemed to look up, as if thinking, before nodding.
"I just didn't want to scare you away." That voice. It was really his. The one that spoke to me through the radio. This was really Whiplash.
The large black robot whirred and ticked as he bent over, holding his hand down to the ground in front of me and Thornly. She stepped on, and my heart nearly skipped a beat.
"Thornly moor Monroe! what are you doing?!" I hiss at her. She gives me a look over her shoulder, then up at whiplash, then back at me. "you said it yourself Rachel, He's not going to hurt us, He just wants to be friends." She stated gently, standing on the palm of his large hand. A whirring sound caught my attention, as my eyes were once again drawn to Whiplash's.
I couldn't quite tell his emotions for that second, so I hesitantly climbed onto the large black hand as well. I nearly lost any food that was in my stomach as he lifted us high up, coming up to meet his happily smiling face. I couldn't help but smile back, Whiplash had a smile that would melt a heart.
He bounced as he readjusted his footing, but things didn't go too well. His large foot slid forward, making him loose his balance. His free hand came up and covered us, pressing both of us firmly into his chest plating. He landing roughly on his back with a loud thud.
A laugh rang from Thornly's mouth, and pretty soon, all of us were chuckling.
I think we could all get along fine, nothing could change that...
