Jasmine's POV

"Good morning." I greeted and smile as long as I enter my dad's office. Mr. Laurier and one of the company's partner is here as well. They were a liitle bit shock on my presence.

"Hija what are you doing here? I thought you're having classes." Dad asked me and he looks a little bit tense.

"Isn't it good that she is involve in your business." Mr. Laurier said.

"Someone really needs to get involve because a mouse just entered a green and lively pasture." I replied and smile.

"So can we proceed now?" I asked and they nodded. I heard dad last night when Amanda called that he will be having an important meeting with Mr. Laurier and Mr. Mendez one of our partners.

"I am sorry Mr. Laurier but we are not going to do that. What happened to our plantation is already enough. Our business is not a playground for you to play." I said while I am looking straight to his eyes.

"Well, I get your point Ms. Verlice but my point here is that- No matter what you say, you can't change the decision. In the first place, why would a rich and intelligent CEO like you wants to have a partnership in our company. To be honest, everything is fine not until you get involved." I said directly without hesitations.

"Jasmine. Enough of that already, you are not involve in here." Dad called my name.

"As long as I am carrying the surname Verlice and you are involve I am already in." I said to dad.

"We are not pulling out money for you and we are not letting you get in touch in our plantation even your fingertips. It's your mistake and it's your responsibility but no thanks. We can manage baka lumala pa ang lahat." I said and smile to him.

"You raised a fine and strong woman David." Mr. Laurier said. I hate his smile, I know that he is upset.

"Stop giving compliments it doesn't suit you." I said.

"Can I ask you Ms. Verlice?" He asked.

"Go on." I replied.

"Would that pasture revive when it already had a hole?" He asked.

"It will. We will just need a pesticide to kill it." I said.

"You know. When the pasture is fresh, more mouse can come and not only mouse." He said and cross his arms smiling.

"There's always a way to protect and it's just a pest." I said and half smile.

"This meeting is adjourn." Dad said to stop the tense.

"You should not meddle with my personal meetings." Dad said when the two left the company.

"Dad, can't you see what happened to the plantation also to some other people? You're the one who taught me to identify a person carefully but now you are the one who is in need of it." I said to him.

"I know but what you have done earlier is disrespectful." Dad said.

"I am just protecting what is ours." I responded.

"So what do you think, am I doing?" Dad asked.

"Dad, I am not saying anything- Jasmine." Dad called my name that's why I became silent.
