Hey gaybies! I know I've went MIA for sooo long, I'm sorry guys a lot of sh!t been going on lately. So to make it up to you guys, here is a long chapter. ENJOY!!
POV:Olivia
"Olivia! Get your lazy ass up now—you don’t want me coming up there!" my mom shouted for the hundredth time.
With a groan, I dragged myself out of my comfortable bed. When my mom’s mad, she means it. I slipped into the bathroom for a quick cold shower, knowing today’s heat would be brutal.
After drying off, I walked into my closet, ready to pick an outfit… then remembered. Monday. Uniform day. Ugh.
I ignored the stupid plaid skirt they force us to wear and reached for my neatly pressed navy-blue khaki pants instead. Breaking the rules? Please. Like I care. I threw on my white button-down shirt, tucked into the pants, my navy blazer with the school crest, and tied my tie loosely around my neck.
Already exhausted. School is such a scam. Whoever invented exams needs to fight me.
I tied my shoelaces, glanced at myself in the mirror, and smirked. Damn, I looked good. The entire school was going to drool today—especially one stubborn brunette who pretends she’s immune. Backpack, duffel bag, done. Time to face the chaos.
Downstairs, my mom was already cleaning the kitchen, while my mama sipped coffee at the dining table with her newspaper.
Despite all our money, my moms like doing things themselves. Cooking, cleaning, family breakfasts. Maids exist, but they’re background noise in this house.
"Thought I’d have to drag you down," my mom teased as I came down the stairs.
"Good morning to you too, Mom," I shot back, side-hugging her and kissing her cheek.
Her blue eyes softened. "How was your night, Oliliya?" she asked sweetly.
I groaned. "Fine, Mom. And stop calling me that."
I slipped past her and kissed my mama’s cheek. "Morning, Mama."
She lowered the paper, brown eyes glinting. "No hug for me? Neglected already?" she said dramatically, hand over her chest.
I chuckled, leaning in for a side hug. She kissed my temple.
"And now I’m jealous, lily" my mom chimed, setting scrambled eggs and toast in front of me.
"Mommm," I whined as they laughed.
"You know you gave yourself that name, right?" Mama smirked.
Cue another round of laughter. They love this story.
When I was four, I couldn’t pronounce “Olivia,” so I proudly called myself “Oliliya.” People thought it was cute. I didn’t. So I invented “Lily.” Now it’s their favorite weapon of mass embarrassment.
"Wait until I call you Oliliya in front of your girlfriend," Mom teased.
"She’s not my—" I started, but Mama cut me off.
"Speaking of, when is she coming over for dinner? I want to meet my future daughter-in-law," Mama teased, eyes sparkling.
"Babe, our little girl is growing up so fast," Mom said, clutching her chest like I’d just gotten engaged.
Sometimes I regret being born.
"I’m off to school," I said quickly, grabbing my bags.
"Oh, c’mon Lily," they sang in unison as I bolted out the door.
