POV: ENID

I watch as Hamida quickly set down the glass of apple juice she was drinking in the cup holder of the recliner armrest, as the movie credits rolled on the big TV screen on the wall, causing a bit of the apple juice spilling on her Hello kitty pajamas shirt.

"Can we watch it again, pleaseee?" Hamida plead, turning on the couch and giving her best puppy eyes.

"Of course Mida, we can." Fatima gave in to her quickly, like she always does.

I swear, she spoils her more than I do.

"We've watched it three times already Mida, let's watch something else?" I try reasoning with her.

Hamida turn to her left on the sofa facing me, "but Nini, I want to watch it again." She says, whining a little with a pout.

Tima raised her head from her phone, "just let her watch it E," she says to me, before looking to Hamida who sat in the middle.

"This is the last time, right baby?" Fatima ask Mida.

With a big smile on her face, my sister quickly nodded yes, like she did the last three times. Taking the bowl of popcorn on her lap before turning her attention back to the tv, as my best friend replay Moana two again.

For the fourth time today.

Shaking my head, I let out a small sigh as I pick up my phone that was laying on the couch besides me, and deciding to put my DND off, which has been on for a day and a half now.

Yes, I do this a lot.

I felt Tima looking at me, so I raised my head to see an amusing smile on her lips as she mouthed 'sorry' shrugging, then going back to her phone.

She's like a mother with a favourite child. And the favourite child is Hamida, obviously.

My phone buzzes continuously in my hand, drawing my attention back to it. Turns out, Allison and the others were spamming my phone.

I quickly went to the group chat to see what's going on.

And why hv u not been answering our texts??

Miaaa🧘🏼‍♀️🌺:
And calls?
Dude, so not cool🙄

We are all worried about you, please text us back.

Leo🧸:
Maybe she's sick...?

I felt so bad after reading their texts. I've not been to school for the past two days now.

Tima got suspended for sticking up for me. She got into a fight with Amari, who have hated us since middle school. And to be honest, the feeling was mutual.

Apparently, the video of Olivia and I kissing was also trending at my old school, for reasons unbeknown to me.

I decided I wanted to take a break from school and stayed home with Tima. So, Fatima and I begged Yusef to call in sick for me, which he did after we tormented him the whole night.

And since today was Friday, we let Hamida also stayed home with us.

We were binged watching movies in Fatima's big theater room, or should I say Moana? because that's all we've been watching since morning.
