Alexis stayed quiet for most of the lunch. She simply observed and listened into the conversation. She'd get to know them more sooner or later, just not now. Once the bell rang, she was back in class. Axel, Declan, Steele and Aaron seemed like pretty nice boys if you excluded the fighting and badmouthing. Maybe she had them wrong.
"Afternoon, students. I have your pairings for our next project, right here," currently they were in class. Beckett, Axel and Aaron were in it too.
Alexis listened, waiting for her name. "And Alexis with Aaron," Alexis couldn't help but grin, this would help, a lot.
Once every detail was clear, they went to their partners. Alexis stayed in her seat; she'd make Aaron come to her. Taking a glance at Aaron, she found that he too stayed in his seat only smirking at her. She raised her brow; he was challenging her.
"Ms. Grey, Mr. Carlyle, I suggest you both start working just like the rest of the class," Mr. Hudson, their teacher said. Carlyle, so that's Aaron's last name, Alexis thought.
"I would love to, if only Mr. Carlyle would be so dear as to come over here to discuss our plans," Alexis said sweetly.
"Mr. Carlyle?" Mr. Hudson exhaled in annoyance. He was always a patient teacher.
Aaron only smirked, adding a small shrug.
Now, their little chitchat had gotten most of the attention of the class.
"Ms. Grey, you were always a good student. I believe you are much more better than this," Mr. Hudson suggested. He was taking Aaron's side. He wanted her to go to him.
"Fine, but I'm not letting this go so easily," Alexis said grabbing her things and taking the seat next to a smirking Aaron.
"He still called me better than you," she mocked.
"Aaron-1, Alexis-0," he stated, nonchalantly.
"You're going to regret this day, Aaron Carlyle, I'm warning you," Alexis returned his smirk. For a moment, Aaron was wordless. He might've heard her double meaning.
Aaron leaned in closer to Alexis until they were inches apart; one move and their lips could've brushed. Alexis didn't move a single bit; she wouldn't break. She felt his hot breath against her skin.
"Make me."
The class went on as it did. Rumors spread quickly about her and Aaron's incident in class. She was pretty sure many of them saw his little stunt. She didn't care.
"Hey, Alexis!" A voice called after her as she headed for her motorcycle, Alexis knew who it was.
"Beckett, hi," Alexis played a straight face.
"I'm sorry about a while ago, Brittany-she can be a bit jealous sometimes but she's really actually nice," Beckett said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Beckett stop talking to that Goth wannabe, we have plans!" Brittany emerged from the school doors.
"For your sake I hope so," Alexis said and she did maybe actually mean it. Any guy stuck with a snob like Brittany was bound for slavery and doom.
Before Beckett was able to say more, Brittany's grumbling voice had him running from her. Alexis rolled her eyes, typical. Getting on her bike, she prepared to wear her helmet.
"Alexis, wait up!" Alexis looked back to find Axel fast-walking towards her, hand in his pocket.
Once he got there, he took Alexis's blank silence as a sign to keep talking.
"I was wondering if you'd like to hangout sometime, maybe," Axel smiled at Alexis, his panty dropping, heart warming smile he charmed girls with. It didn't work on Alexis, it couldn't.
