Pietro Boselli as Jacks <3
Alexis sat on the counter of her kitchen eating breakfast. She felt oddly lethargic as she took a bite into the sandwich she made for herself. For reasons she didn't understand, she didn't feel motivated to bring herself to school today. She thought about how far her relationship with the guys had come. It had been just a couple of months and yet here they were because as much as she hated the thought, she knew the guys had become a part of her life. She also thought about how much she didn't miss her job. After the incident with Alexander and her ambush, she stayed low and under the radar. She couldn't give whoever was after her a chance at her again. But more importantly, she had come to realize she needed the rest. For as long as she can remember, her life had been a revolving cycle of kill after kill after kill, and while she enjoyed what she did, she realized how much more she enjoyed not having to do another person's dirty work, and for the first time in two years, for the first time since Kaden left, she thought to herself maybe it was time to quit.
Alexis heard Kaden's footsteps down the stairs immediately breaking her from her trance. She finished up her breakfast quickly.
"Sorry I didn't get home on time, yesterday," Kaden said as soon as he spotted Alexis. She eyed him with a raised brow as she took in how he only wore a pair of boxer shorts.
"What, you didn't have enough money to buy yourself a shirt?" She said jokingly as she got off the stool she sat on. "Besides, it's fine, I went to bed early."
"You heading for school?" He asked.
"Yeah," she grabbed her bag and keys. "Do you have any plans today?"
"Not much, why?" That was a lie, Kaden had planned to go back to the building Vincent had told him about. He still hadn't been able to tell Alexis about what he found, and for the most part, he wasn't sure if he wanted to.
"I might go back to that training place with Z, today," she said as she walked to the door. If she caught Kaden's lie, she wasn't showing it.
"Vi told me they miss you around there. Be careful."
"I will, don't wait up for me," she said as she closed the door.
Alexis got to school to find Declan entering their student lounge aggressively. Now that she thought of it, it had been a while since she'd been there. Despite the fact that it had become an unspoken rule that that particular student lounge was reserved only for the boys, Alexis had been there enough times to know she was allowed in. She had admittedly become part of their little group. Curious as to what got Declan so agitated, she followed him in to find Steele and Axel there too.
"I just don't get what happened, man," she heard Declan say as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Alexis, you're here," Steele said curiously spotting her enter; Axel and Declan turned to face her.
Alexis dropped herself on one of the armchairs, "I don't think I'm up for school, today. What's the matter with you, Declan?"
"Jas and I got into a fight yesterday."
"What happened?" Alexis asked. Clearly Declan cared about her, for as long as she's been in the school, she's never known the guys to become serious with a girl.
"I don't even know, she started going on about how she didn't feel like this relationship was a priority to me, I don't get it, we were fine just the other day," he sighed, visibly tired.
"Man, I didn't peg her for the clingy type," Axel said. Alexis raised her brow at him.
"From what I've seen, Jas is a pretty cool girl, she probably has her reasons. Hear her out first," Alexis said.
