Recap: The guys and Alexis went cliff diving. She realizes that she doesn't really know the guys, and the guys realize they don't really know her. Kaden killed Vincent but not before he gave him an address and revealing that he was actually after his boss and couldn't care less about Alexis. The boys take Alexis home and meet a shirtless Kaden. Kaden and Alexis fight. Kaden leaves to visit the address Vincent gave him. He finds a building that he's seen before on a picture at his old job. He remembers Heath, his boss back then, was meeting with someone and talking about business and leadership.
Okay I'm wondering if Madelaine Petsch or Sophie Turner should play Alexis?
The 2nd building on the corner of 12th street. That was the address Vincent had given him. And as Kaden continued to walk closer and closer to the ominous building, he couldn't shake off the sinking feeling in his chest—his past was gripping him unable to let him go.
The building towered over him. And though it was just like any other building on the block, it embodied something else for Kaden. He inspected the building, already planning entry and escape routes; he needed information and he was determined to get it. His thoughts continued to race on and he thought to himself could this be it? Could this finally be what I've been looking for?
But before he could do anything, he needed a plan. Without the schematics of the building, he'd be going in blind. He cursed at himself for not thinking ahead. And even more, cursed Alexis for being so stubborn. He had hoped to get away from what seemed to become a cycle of them fighting—mostly because after all the time he had spent away, he couldn't accept how she had changed.
Kaden begrudgingly walked back. As he was about to take a right, what seemed like the building's main door opened and men began leaving. He decided to watch; tonight, this was as close as he'd get without getting himself in trouble.
As the men walked out the building into their fancy cars going their separate ways, Kaden realised that he recognised many of them. A lot were high-profile gang leaders, drug lords, and hitmen. And he knew who they were because of all the research he'd done lately. But one person stood out. It was as if a ghost from his past came back to haunt him. Heath. His old boss. Kaden stared wide-eyed because last he heard, Heath had died.
Heath stood at the front of the door, two bodyguards positioned at his sides. He was speaking to one of the attendees of what seemed like a meeting. Perfect timing, Kaden thought. What were the chances that he was able to witness a gathering of such distinguished leaders. Kaden watched carefully, taking a mental note of each detail and each person he could see.
Control yourself. Kaden kept thinking over and over again. He wanted to speak to Heath, confront him and all these people. He wanted to take action so badly. But, control. He'd come back though, that was certain. He'd have his answers. For the meanwhile, all he could do was wait.
Once Kaden had made sure that everyone had gone their separate ways, he debated whether or not it'd be okay to enter the building. But if the building was being used by people like Heath, he'd know better than to simply waltz in. There'd be motion sensors, security cameras, and more. Instead, he decided to inspect the building from the outside. He casually walked towards the building whilst taking in every small detail about it. Right off the bat, he spotted 4 security cameras, motion sensors attached to the doors, and high-tech security locks. It'd be almost impossible to break in. Almost. Kaden knew he could do it; given the right tech and support, he could do anything. And so, he made his decision. He'd come back. Soon.
As soon as he was done scouting the area and on his way back home, he received a text from Alexis.
Lexi: I'm sorry.
