"Anything?" Alexis asked Kaden.

"I'm still running him through all known databases: FBI, Homeland, Interpol, CIA... we'll find out who he is," Kaden replied. His eyes glued on his computer.

"He's connected to one of the most powerful gangs. They practically preside over this and the other cities around the state," Alexis skimmed through all of Jackson's other files and whatever she could get her hands on.

"What else?"

"I don't know, let me see what I can find," Alexis said opening her own computer.

Kaden and Alexis had spent most of the night connecting Jackson to anyone. His job as a Statistician was clearly an alias. The number Alexis had received his job from wasn't entirely foreign so she was able to dig up the files of her past victims. Kaden had brought out his computers; tracking people, hunting them down, finding all their dirty little secrets--that was what Kaden was good at, albeit he still kept in touch with his murderous side.

"I've got something," Kaden said, fiddling with his computer. Alexis came to his side.

"No criminal records whatsoever but the gang... three people are currently wanted and known," Kaden said.

"Dieter, Xavier, Latrice," Alexis read the names of the gang members.

"Though Xavier and Latrice seem to be off the border, Dieter's information is out in the open," Kaden said as he stood up from his seat.

"No family but he is a wanted ex-convict with a lot of criminal records-I'm surprised he's still alive," Alexis said.

"He'll know information but it's either he'll know too little or too much to be killed," Kaden said.

"As long as it gets me closer to their boss," Alexis stated.

"It says he's committed three murders and two rapes."

"He lives downtown, I'm sure it won't be too hard to get to him," Alexis said.

"Okay then, we can talk about this tomorrow. For now, go get some sleep, it's three in morning; you have school in a few hours," Kaden said keeping his things.

"I'll just clean up," Alexis said, gathering the files scattered on the table.

"No, I'll handle this," Kaden insisted, grabbing the files from Alexis's grip.

"Okay, thanks," Alexis walked to the door.

"Night, Lexi," Kaden said, just as Alexis left the room.

Alexis walked into her room and changed into sweatpants and a white tank top. She then went under her covers; in no time, she was fast asleep.

It was no secret Alexis got jobs from all types of people be it the mafia, mob, or whatsoever. She was just a call away. It was bound for someone to start looking for her. Jackson worked for the mob. The only thing Alexis wondered about was how the mob would benefit from finding her.

Once Kaden fixed the files and piled them up neatly, he went to his room. Once he was able to buy the things he needed, his room looked a lot nicer and comfier. He had fixed all he needed to. In addition, he had more clothes to wear now.

Kaden threw himself on his bed; it sank under his weight. Taking out one of two cellphones, he dialed in a number. A few rings later, a girl picked up.

"Hello?" a voice said from the other line.

"Hey Vi," Kaden greeted. Vi was short for Violet.

"Kaden, you're back!" Violet said in surprise.
