It's Tuesday. Going to school was a lot more heart palpitating than Alexis had thought it'd be. If the fact that everyone saw her fight wasn't enough than the idea that she had lied to the guys about her inability to fight was even more tense; it wasn't that she was scared of them but more that she was alarmed of what they might do, not to mention Aaron-the son of one of the nation's most notorious gang's leader.
Alexis walked down the halls with a confident and firm posture. She was not scared; she couldn't show anything. People recognized her after a few moments of glances and whispers. Soon the hallway was quietly buzzing about her, some smiling, some shocked and some angry-though Alexis would've guess that they were friends with the varsity jocks or followers of Brittany.
"Alexis, hey!" Beckett walked by her side clearly not minding the extra attention it gave him. "So, I heard what happened, yesterday. I'm really sorry, Alexis; Brittany was immature and way out of line to do that. And the varsity players, they definitely won't hear the end of this, they're just scared because Brittany has too much against them and her brainless goons practically are the only kind of entertainment they have, if you know what I mean."
Alexis knew he was trying to make the situation less tense and angry, it wasn't helping much. She was just glad he didn't mention her fight. "Look, I know you mean well and this isn't your fault but Brittany is Brittany, and I'm guessing this is as far as that plastic brain of hers can manage; as for the varsity jocks, I couldn't care less why they did it because they did it, they were a part of it. As far as I know, they seemed to enjoy it. So, please, spare me the speech about how they didn't mean to or they were blackmailed by Brittany."
Alexis walked to her locker where the guys, Aaron, Steele, Axel and Declan, were stationed. Seeing this, Beckett said his goodbyes and he parted ways.
"What do you guys want?" Alexis said with no trace of emotion.
"We were just wondering what exactly did you mean when you said you 'can't fight'? And where did you learn to fight like that? Plus, why did you lie to us?" Axel asked slowly.
"I don't fight."
"Yeah and I'm not a guy," Declan said sarcastically.
"Wait, was that sarcasm? Cause, I really thought you weren't," Axel joked. Declan lightly smacked the side of his head.
"So you aren't a guy...?" Axel continued.
"That's it, do you want to die?" Declan challenged, ready to hit Axel.
"Yeesh, learn to take a joke, man."
"Whatever," Declan rolled his eyes. "Really, Alexis, what's the deal with you?"
"What's there to tell?" Alexis shut her locker and began to walk, the guys followed.
"What else have you lied about?" Aaron asked in a passive state.
"Oh my gosh. You have a boyfriend, don't you?!" Axel said, wide-eyed.
"For the tenth time, no, I don't," she glared at him. "Nothing else, but to be honest, you guys don't know much about me so I can't exactly lie to you if you don't know anything to begin with."
After a short silence, Steele spoke. "She has a point."
"You know what then, fine, let's talk," Aaron said as he walked ahead towards their hangout place, one of the student lounges. The rest followed.
"Whoa, I'm not ditching classes," she warned.
"Why not? You have a what, 4.0 GPA, a 96 percent grade?" Axel commented.
"How do you know that?"
"Uh...no reason," he smiled cheekily. Alexis rolled her eyes.
Entering the lounge, the guys took their seats while Steele closed the door. Axel grabbed a few drinks from the mini fridge they had stored at the back. He threw them at the guys and handed Alexis a can of soda.
