Winning a Contest in New York (A Harry Styles/ One Direction fanfic)

Chapter 2

~November 19th, 2012~

Zaynah's POV:

Today is the day that we finally get to figure out who won the contest! I'm so excited! What if I actually won?

The winner will be announced email at 3pm EST (A/N: EST means eastern time which is 5 hours behind GMT or London time). That means I have to wait until school is over to find out if I won or not.

School went by suprisingly fast. That is until I got to my last class of the day... Calculus. Uggghhhh Calculus is sooooo hard!

This class just seems to never end. I'm trying hard to pay attention, but I can't. It's 2:45 pm. I'm just 15 short minutes away from finding out who won the contest!

**RINNNGGGGG**

Finally, there's the bell! That means it's 3:00! I turn on my iPhone to see who won the contest.

When my iPhone finally turned on, I went straight to my email. I saw an email from someone I didn't know. I clicked on it and read the email...

HOLY CRAPPPP I WON THE FREAKING CONTEST!!!!!!!

I couldn't believe my luck! How did I, an ordinary 16 year old girl, win a chance to meet One Direction?

Since I was on the bus when I found out, I couldn't scream or freak out or anything. I had to be calm until I got home.

The first thing I did when I got home was jump around the house like a maniac! I just couldn't believe what had happened to me! Nothing could ruin this day.

"Uhhh... Zaynah? Are you okay?" my mom asked me.

"Mom! Guess what?" I pratcally shouted.

"What did One Direction do this time?" my mother sighed.

"Nothing! But remember that contest I entered a few days ago?" I asked.

"Yes, what about it?" she said.

"I won! Can you believe it, Mom? I actually won!" I told her.

"How do you know you won, Zaynah?" Mom asked me.

"I got an email. See!" I told her while handing her my iPhone.

I stood there while she read the email. Finally, she handed me back my phone.

"That's good news, honey! You finally get to meet them. When do you go to New York?" Mom asked.

"Hmmm....Friday, December 7th. But I don't get to meet the boys until the 8th." I told her.

"Well, I guess you will have to borrow your father's truck that weekend, won't you?" she said.

"What? You're letting me go to NYC by myself?" I asked, shocked.

"Of course I am! I can tell how much you love them! I'm not gonna stop you from meeting your idols!" she told me.

"Wow! Thanks, Mom!" I said, then I rushed up to my room.

I looked at all of my posters of One Direction around me. I just couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that in less than one month I'm going to meeting these boys. 

I tried to do my homework, but I just couldn't focus. I mean how can you focus if you know you're meeting One Direction in like 20 day? Yeah, I know, you can't be expected to be focused on homework.

I gave up with homework and went onto twitter and I typed a new tweet:

@Zaynah_Nassar: This is the best day ever!!! Can't believe how lucky I am!! :D

After I sent the tweet I went downstairs to help my mom with dinner.

-After Dinner-

I was about to get into the shower when Lexi texted me.

From Lexi: hows this the best day ever? 1D didnt follow you on twittter did they?

To Lexi: I wish! :( But guess what?

From Lexi: What?

To Lexi: I WON A CONTEST TO GO MEET ONE DIRECTION!!!! IAMCLKSCKEKRNCKDKSKCKDK

From Lexi: no way!

To Lexi: OSKCKCDKSKAJAJXKFK im not kidding

From Lexi: wow... congrats!

To Lexi: thanks! well g2g about to take a shower.. byeeee

From Lexi: bye girl!

Harry's POV:

*Earlier that day*

Niall and I had decided to crash at Liam's flat for a while since we were bored and had nothing better to do.

"So, are we going to email the winner of the contest?" I asked Liam.

"Mate, it's only 7:30 here. The winner of the contest will be notified at 3 pm Eastern Time. Which is at 8 pm here." he explained to me.

"Oh." was all I could say.

I wanna know more about this contest winner. All I know is her name is Zaynah. We don't know anything else about her.

"Harry?" Niall said.

"Yeah, Nialler?" I asked.

"Do you wanna come with me and get dinner for us? All the lads are going to my place for a movie night." Niall said.

"Yeah, I'll come. See you at Niall's, Liam." I said.

"Bye, mate!" Liam replied.

I walked out of Liam's flat with one thing on my mind...

Oh, how I couldn't wait to get to New York!

Liam's POV:

It's five til 8 so I should send the email to Zaynah.

All we know about her is that she is 16 almost 17 and lives on the East Coast of the USA.

I love how Harry was so eager to send the email to Zaynah. Maybe things will go well for them once they finally meet. I know Harry needs to find the right girl for him. Maybe they will be perfect for each other.

I can only hope so...

Zaynah's POV:

I fell asleep that night listening to their album Up All Night...

and thinking about them.

Or more specifically, thinking about Harry Edward Styles...
