Winning a Contest in New York (A Harry Styles/ One Direction fanfic)

Chapter 9

- April 20th 2013-

Zaynah's POV:

It's been about 8 weeks since Harry has given me the promise ring.

Harry had to leave the next morning to go back to England. The boys had their tour starting up later this week so Harry had to be back for rehearsals.

I don't get to talk to Harry as often now. Tour is a very busy time for him. We always exchange a couple of texts. We rarely skype because he is always so busy.

Prom is next weekend and I'm so excited because this is the first year I'm allowed to go.

The boys have a small break from tour, so they agreed to be the band performing at prom.

That means I get to see Harry, the rest of the boys, and the girls.

I heard Niall has been seeing some girl and she's going to be at the prom.

I looked at the time and saw it was 3:00. I knew I couldn't text Harry because he was in the middle of the concert.

~ 1 Week Later~

Today is the day of prom. The boys and girls will be here soon. They are flying over here right now. They should be here by 3:30 pm.

It's now 1 pm and Lexi and I have hair appointments at 2:00 pm.

I quickly got ready to leave.

I went downstairs and was about to leave. I told my grandma to watch the boys becuase I was going to go get my hair done.

My parents were on a cruise since their work gave them a free trip so they weren't here. My grandparents flew in from the Middle East to help me look after my brothers.

I got in my car and drove to Lexi's house. Once I picked her up, we went to the hair salon.

Lexi's hair was dead straight with the top half of her hair pulled into a bun. My hair was done in small, tight curls with some of the curls pinned up.

I took Lexi back to her place so she could get ready. I told her I would see her at prom because she was going with her boyfriend of 3 years.

I got back home and went up to my room.

When I opened my bedroom door, I was greeted by four very excited girls.

"When did you guys get here?" I asked.

"Just a few minutes ago. Your grandmother told us to wait in here." Dani said.

"Are the boys here? Where's Harry?" I asked.

"He's not here. He's at a hotel with the rest of the lads. He can't see you until prom." Perrie said.

"Why not? I really wanna see him." I pouted.

"Because he is going to see you all pretty and dressed up. Oh, and this is Alyssa, Niall's girlfriend." Eleanor said.

I looked over and saw a girl with dirty blond hair. She looked a bit younger than me and she was very pretty.

" Hi, I'm Zaynah." I said.

"I'm Alyssa. It's nice to meet you."

"You too." I said.

She has an American accent. I wonder where her and Niall met.

She seemed very nice and perfect for Niall.

"Come on, we have to get you ready for prom tonight." Perrie said while getting out my dress.

My dress was a floor length dress. It was a light purple and had waves at the bottom. I love my dress.
