September 23th-24th:

-Lisa's pov-

"Hii love. How are you?" Billie greeted me excitedly.

"Mh, I'm alright. Just super exhausted from the day and happy I'm off work now."

"Did it suck?"

"It always sucks. I fucking hate my boss. She always bosses me around and earns like, I don't fucking know, probably four times what I get. She knows nothing about my scripts and wants to avoid adapting to new trends like implementing AI into work. Annoying as fuck."

"Why don't you just quit? Your dad gives you enough money anyway. I don't get it."

"I want to have work experience, you know. It will get me higher paying jobs once I finish my degree."

"I could just pay for everything then."

"That's not the point, though. Also, what if we, for whatever reason, aren't together anymore by then."

"First of all, don't say that. Go work elsewhere then, or start your own company like you told me you wanted to."

"We'll see. I'm still too inexperienced to start a company like that. I don't want to talk about work anymore, though. What did you cook?" I asked her because I could smell food.

"Glass noodle soup with tofu," she said, smiling at me.

"Ahh, the one and also only recipe of your cooking series," I commented jokingly.

"Suck my dick," she said, pretending to be annoyed.

We ate the soup, and it was pretty good. It was a little too spicy for my taste, but I could handle it.

"Your eyes are watery. Is it too hot?" Billie asked, catching onto it.

"Nah, it's fine. I'm just not used to eating so much chili. But it's perfect. You should start doing your recipes again, babe. Just imagine how many people would eat a plant-based meal just because you share what you are having."

"I would, but I need more motivation and feel like cooking isn't my strength. I'd just let you do it and post it on my gram then."

"Yeah, no, that's cheating," I laughed.

Later, we packed her suitcase together since she was leaving for L.A. the next day. After that, we did a little home workout because I felt super stressed, and workouts always made me feel better.

Then we took a bath together, which calmed me down so so much. I leaned against her body as she slowly poured water over me and caressed me. We didn't speak; I just lay there enjoying the warmth of the water and her skin touching mine. I felt so comfortable around her; it was insane.

After the bath, she gave me a massage, which I was very happy about because my neck was sore from looking at my monitors all day. We watched three episodes of The Crown, and I fell asleep in her arms during the last one.

Luckily, I worked from home the following day, so I got up at 6:30 a.m. and logged into work. Billie had a library in the house where I could work in peace.

The only issue was that she didn't own a coffee machine, so I was missing my literal life essence. I made myself hot water with the juice of a whole lemon instead, did a few stretches for about 10 minutes, and then started working. I had a few Zoom calls and answered about 30 emails from customers requesting additional data sets on building contracts I was working on.

At around 10:15 a.m., a sleepy Billie peeked through the library door.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," I said, looking up from my monitor.
