October 7th:

-Lisa's pov-

My first week of university flew by quickly. I only had one lecture, but it was challenging as we started learning a new programming language for a statistics course. Many people struggled with that course, so I was a little nervous, but I knew I would be okay.

On Friday, I practiced coding on my own before heading to Billie's place. As I entered the house, I noticed a guy who turned out to be Billie's assistant, whom I hadn't met before. His name was Mike, and he was around 30 years old. Unsure if he knew about our relationship, I greeted Billie with a hug.

"He knows, babe," Billie assured me as she pulled me in for a quick kiss. "How was your day?"

"Not too bad. Finished work and uni. Want me to take Shark for a walk while you guys have your meeting?"

"Yeah, that'd be nice, thanks," she replied, walking me to the door and handing me Shark's leash.

I attached the leash to the dog, and off we went. Spending time with Shark and taking him on walks made me so happy. I freaking missed my childhood dog every day, so having Shark around was a blessing to me. Despite struggling with the English dog commands at first, we managed just fine. After about an hour, we returned home.

When we got back, Billie and Mike were still discussing something. It involved a Gucci deal and a video shoot, but I didn't pay much attention. I went to the kitchen to prepare vegan gyozas, which I had wanted to cook for a while, and now I had time to kill anyway.

"Sorry to interrupt, guys. Mike, would you like to join us for dinner later? I'm making gyozas. We'd love to have you over," I offered.

"Oh, I'd love to, but I'm super busy. I still have two calls with the U.S. later. Thank you for asking, though."

"Oh, okay. Can I offer you something to drink, at least?"

"A water would be nice," he smiled.

"Still or sparkling?"

"Sparkling, please."

"Eww," Billie commented.

An hour later, their meeting finally ended, and I heard them saying their goodbyes. I quickly got up from the couch and joined them to bid farewell to Mike. I shook his hand politely and mentioned how nice it was to meet him, which he returned. Billie then walked him to the door.

"You have such good manners, love," Billie complimented me once she shut the door.

"What do you mean?"

"The way you greet people, introduce yourself with your full name,  take out Shark, offer to cook. You're always super put together and express yourself eloquently. I don't know; it's just something I noticed. I like it."

"I guess. It's been ingrained in me by my family. They're super strict when it comes to good manners. But I was really just being friendly, no biggie," I explained.

"Soooo, you made gyozas?"

"Yes, they're basically done. I just need to fry them in the pan. Are you hungry? Should I start?"

"Starving, love."

Billie set the table while I fried the gyozas. We then sat down and enjoyed our meal.

"So, what was your meeting about?" I asked.

"Oh, right. I wanted to tell you. I'll be doing another campaign with Gucci in December. I need to go to London in two weeks to meet with a few executives there, discuss the clothes, and start planning the shoot."
