December 16th:

-Lisa's pov-

I stayed at Billie's place and woke early to head to my class. As she was still asleep when I left, I sent her a quick "Good Morning" text before focusing on my coding class, which had been challenging lately.

Despite my efforts to concentrate, I couldn't stop thinking about Billie's upcoming birthday. Determined to make the day memorable, I reached out to her mom a week before to get the recipe for her iced Candy Cane cake, which she always gets on her birthday.

I attempted to recreate it, believing that I could have done better of a job.

Wanting to surprise Billie, I booked a suite at one of the city's best hotels. I don't know if there was something fun about staying in a hotel even if you live in the city. The hotel even allowed us to bring Shark so he wouldn't be left alone at home. I also planned to take her to the Butterfly House, which she had wanted to visit badly ever since I went with Claudia, and then have dinner on the Ferris wheel, where I had rented an entire gondola. 

I felt guilty about all her gifts, so I wanted to give back a little. Like, she for real put a fucking iPhone15 Pro in my advent calendar? Who does that? 

I also prepared a personalized gift, printing out every picture we had together and crafting a foldable love letter inspired by a TikTok video I saw. It took me hours to make, but it was worth it.

After finishing my preparations, I invited Billie to stay at my place for the night so we could wake up together on her birthday. She accepted happily, and we spent a relaxed evening at mine walking Shark, taking a bath, and watching a Christmas movie we didn't like.

December 18th:

-Lisa's pov-

I woke up at 7:30, crawled up to my birthday girl, and woke her up with gentle pecks all over her face. "Happy Birthday Bobby. I love you so very much. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me."

She just hummed something inaudible because she was still half asleep.

"I'll come pick u and Shark up at your place at around 2 p.m., alright?"

"Mh- okay, thank you, baby. Can I get a little birthday head?"

"You will get enough of it later today, trust me. I have to get to class; we are writing a test today. I love you so much, okay?"

"Okay, love you too," she smiled and turned around to go back to sleep. 

I hurried to the university. I wanted to skip class that day but couldn't, so I tried leaving as early as possible.

I went back to my place and freshened up. Billie was already back at hers. I then brought the cake I had made to the hotel where we would be staying so that they could surprise her by taking it to our room once we arrived.

At around 2 p.m. I called Billie, letting her know that I was on my way. 

"Babe, Zoe, Lulu, and Ava surprised me by visiting me. How cool is that?" I heard her slur her words over the phone. 

No, please, god, no. I was happy her friends showed up for her, but why would nobody tell me that? Plus, she was drunk already. fml

"Listen, can I call you back later, Lisa? We are about to start a Dance Star battle."

"When is that going to be baby? I got stuff planned for today." 

"Well, I can't go out if my best friends are in town."
