October 4th:
-Lisa's pov-
I woke up in the morning with a pounding headache. I groaned and turned around, only to realize Billie wasn't next to me. I saw a painkiller and a glass of water on my nightstand, which I took. I checked my phone and scrolled through my own stories. Luckily, I didn't post anything embarrassing yesterday—a rare but pleasant surprise.
I went downstairs, expecting to find Billie and Shark, but they were gone (probably for a walk). I started my computer and messaged my boss, letting her know I wouldn't be working today. She was okay with it since we had flexible time management, but I wanted to inform her nonetheless. After closing my laptop, I gulped down a big glass of water with lemon juice. I put on the jeans I wore yesterday and grabbed one of Billie's shirts from her suitcase.
I surprised her by organizing her closet, carefully folding her clothes, and arranging them on the shelves. Just as I finished organizing her T-shirts, I heard her enter the house. "I'm up here!" I called out, letting her know I was already awake. She quickly sprinted upstairs, with Shark following closely behind.
"Hi, love!" she greeted me, leaning against the doorframe, slightly out of breath. "Oh, you don't have to organize my clothes."
"I enjoy doing it. I borrowed one of your shirts, by the way; I hope that's okay."
"Of course, but I like you better without a shirt," she smirked. She walked up to me and kissed me, grabbing my waist tightly.
"Let me help you," she offered, folding her hoodies.
"You know, it's kinda crazy to bring eight suitcases of clothing and two additional ones just for shoes," I remarked.
"I know, I know, don't judge me. But I didn't even pay for most of it. People keep sending me stuff, and I get a lot of things from brands."
"You should witness me and my mum going on a shopping spree. It's always so wild. We go crazy and buy like the entire season of my favorite brand," I said.
"Oh, the one you wear most of the time?" she asked.
"Yeah"
"Well, if you want, I could take you on a back-to-school shopping spree before university starts again."
"No, I have enough clothes anyway, but thank you, Bobby," I declined.
-Billie's pov-
While folding up my clothes in the closet, she told me how her mum always takes her on shopping sprees. I had never heard of the brand she mentioned; it's not a big thing in the U.S.apparently. I excused myself and told her I'd make us sandwiches. I sat in the kitchen, took out my iPad, and looked up the brand. Holy shit, their clothes were expensive. I forgot that her parents are rich rich.
I randomly decided to surprise her just because I could, and I knew how obsessed she was with clothes. I ordered five pairs of pants, T-shirts and long sleeves, three light jackets, two bags, and three pairs of sneakers. I entered her apartment as the shipping address. I knew how obsessed she was with her outfits – her entire photo gallery was filled with mirror selfies of her fits.
I went back upstairs to continue helping her. "Where are the sandwiches, Bobby?" she asked me, looking confused.
"Oh shit. I took a call from my management and then forgot to make them. Do you still want me to make some?"
"We can make them together. The closet is all organized. You just have to put your shoes on the shelves."
"Thank you so much for doing this, but seriously, you didn't have to, especially because you're hungover," I said gratefully.
