~Solayne's POV~

"Hey girrrlll" her chirpy voice echoes from the other side of the phone just as I swipe answering her video call. Her ceiling displays on her side before she takes up the phone showing her big face.

"You left early last night" she pouts acting all innocent like she wasnt the one who found her self a dancing partner and forgot all about me.

Not saying much she senses something is wrong and pause what she is doing.

"you ok hun?" She ask taking notice of my current mood.

Nodding yes, I open my car door ready to get in ignoring her glares through the screen.

Today has been one heck of a day, I just want to go home and sleep at this point.

"Miss Carson wait up!" My head whips around at the sound of my name seeing my co-worker running to me breathlessly.

"He...he...hey" he finally manages to breathe out

"Could you give me a ride?My car is at the mechanic" he pleads still catching his breath.

That's a detour from my regular route but how can I refuse?

Sighing I promise Myra a call back later then motion for him to hop in.

It has been roughly 15 minutes since I left work and I have being stuck with this dude ever since.

Every breath he inhales or exhales can be heard making the whole car ride an awkward one. Drumming my fingers in annoyance I curse myself for agreeing when he could have simply taken the bus or whatever means of transport he took to work. To make matters worse, I have been stuck in traffic for the last 5 minutes and although I do enjoy my silence this type is agitating my soul.

Taking a deep breath, I move up a little wondering what's holding us up ahead. My tank is nearly empty so I had to turn off the AC and roll down the windows in this heat.

Shifting in the passenger seat, he clears his throat turning to face me.

"Didn't take you as the type to make Ad's" he trails off reminding me of what awful day I had.

"I am not" I answer truthfully admitting I have not the slightest of idea of what I got myself into.

"You agreed to do the project, didn't you ?" He clarifies examining my side profile.

Glancing at him for a millisecond, I focus back on the road turning off into a lane leading to his community.

"Did I have a choice?" I utter our eyes making four for a bit.

"I think you did" he replies allowing me to see how dumb my statement sounds.

"I think I didn't and furthermore it's my mistake so don't worry about it" the car comes to a halt and he clears his throat turning to face me properly.
