"Good morning, baby," Brenden said, holding me tighter and kissing me lightly on the forehead. I nuzzled into his chest. "Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, Bren." I kissed his chest before pulling away and sitting up next to him. "I guess it's time to get up and head back to the maximum security prison that is my home."

"Lu," Brenden laughed. "Stop that. Your parents love you. I don't want to hear anymore complaints, okay?"

I ignored him and got up out of bed, dressing in a pair of Brenden's sweatpants and cutoff. "Can we just go get it over with?" Brenden got up and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Can we please have a nice day with your family?" He pulled away and went to his dresser, where he pulled out a small box. "Here's your gift, and then we can go."

He opened the box and held it out to me, displaying a beautiful pair of diamond earrings that matched the ring he had gotten me all those months ago. "Brenny, thank you so much!" I gushed. "They're beautiful!" I pulled them out of the box and put them in my ears, even though they totally didn't match my outfit.

"You're beautiful, Luey-Poop." He pulled me in for a kiss, which was soon interrupted by Trevor barging through the door.

"Oh good, you're awake," he said, seating himself on the bed. "Are you ready to head over to brunch?"

"You're coming?" I asked, joining him on the bed as Brenden pulled on sweats and a cutoff.

"Yeah, Ash's dad invited me. I'm actually a little terrified. Should I be?"

"Nah, he's a cool guy." I stood up and headed for the door, the boys following me. "I'm sure he'll love you. Just be on your best behavior."

"Merry Christmas, darling," my mom said, pulling me into her arms as I walked in the door. My dad hugged me next before leading everyone into the den, where the base of the tree was littered with presents.

"Santa came!" Brenden exclaimed, dragging me to a spot on the floor near the tree. My parents laughed and planted themselves on the couch. My uncle was already sitting in the recliner, listening to Christmas music. Ashtyn and Trevor sat together on the loveseat. "Can I pass out the presents? Please?" Brenden begging was just too cute.

"Yes, Brenden," my mom said, laughing. "Why don't you do that?" I just rolled my eyes as he jumped up and excitedly passed around all the gifts. Surprisingly enough, both Brenden and Trevor had fairly substantial piles in front of them.

"Okay everyone," my dad said. "Dive in!"

Everyone began frantically ripping paper and tearing into boxes. A half hour later, everyone was happily basking in the joy of Christmas spirit. A fire was lit in the fireplace and we happily sat together as one big family.

A couple hours later, Trevor and Ashtyn were the first to stand up to begin the trek to the Foxe residence for dinner. Brenden and I followed suit.

_________

"See Trev?" I asked. "I told you her dad would love you!" We were all sitting around a fire in the Foxe's backyard after dinner.

"Yeah, yeah," he said, pulling Ashtyn closer to him between his legs. She pulled his arms tighter around her.

"It turned out to be a good day, didn't it babe?" Brenden asked me, mimicking Trevor's actions.

"You don't need to rub it in," I said, pinching his leg. My parents had lightened up and are allowing me to do whatever I want again. "You're just happy you're still expected to sleep over every night."

"Psh, like I wouldn't anyway," he said, bending his head to kiss my neck.

"Guys," Ashtyn said. "Time is going by way too fast. Senior year is already halfway over. What are we going to do to make it memorable?"

____________

The remaining five months leading up until graduation really did fly by. We made it through our senior trip and senior outings, birthdays, and finals. There were only two weeks remaining until we were all high school graduates.
