“Courtney, get your ass up!” Ashtyn yelled, running into my bedroom and jumping on my bed. “Today is the day!”
“You have got to be kidding me,” I replied, checking the clock. “It’s only 5:30 in the morning, you psychopath! Let me sleep!” I shoved her off my bed and rolled over, pulling the covers over my head.
“Hey where’s boyfriend?” she asked, sitting up on the floor. “Is he in the doghouse?”
I rolled my eyes and sat up. “No, Ash. You two were just driving me insane arguing about this stupid scrimmage, so I sent him home for the night. Now would you please leave so I can sleep for another hour?”
“Nope!” she said, climbing back on the bed. “Um, when did you send Bren home?” she asked, laughing.
“I don’t know,” I answered, giving her a weird look. “Before I went to bed I guess. Why?”
“You have mad hickies on your neck right now,” she laughed, pointing at the side of my neck. “They’re really dark, so good luck getting them covered up.”
“I can just wear a scarf,” I said, getting out of bed and walking over to my vanity to check on the damage. “Holy shit. I’m going to kill that kid.” Not only were the marks dark, there were about five of them lining my neck.
“No you can’t, captain,” Ash said in a sing-song voice. “We all have to wear our team outfit today, remember?”
“Fuck.” We got team shorts and tanks to wear when we do team things and we all wear our hair up in a braided bun. I was screwed.
“That is literally so funny!” Ashtyn yelled, laughing like crazy as she rolled around on my bed. “If I were you, I would just act like there’s nothing there and then get revenge tonight.” I just continued staring at my neck in the mirror.
“I’m going to get in the shower and then go wake up my asshole of a boyfriend next door,” I said, walking out of my room.
I quickly showered, shaved, and washed my hair before turning off the water and wrapping myself in a big fluffy towel. Making my way into my room, I slid on a skimpy pair of underwear and one of Brenden’s button-up shirts that barely covered my butt. I threw my wet hair in a bun and pulled up the collar on the shirt to cover the marks on my neck.
As it was 6:30 in the morning at this point, I knew Brenden’s parents would have already left for work so I didn’t bother with knocking or being quiet as I made my way to Brenden’s room. Climbing on top of him, I began my work on his neck to match that of my own. To this, I was met with Bren’s hands gripping my waist tightly, pulling me down onto his body.
“Good morning, baby,” he said, huskily. “I see that you missed waking up to me this morning.” One of his hands moved from my waist to rub my back while the other gripped my mostly bare behind. “I really wouldn’t mind waking up to this every single day, Lu.”
I pulled back away from his neck, sitting up on his stomach to admire my work. “Brenny,” I said, rubbing my hands down his chest. “I hope you like what you see.” I could feel his little friend growing beneath me. “When you look in the mirror this morning.” I smirked down at him before kissing him deeply and getting up off the bed. “I’ll see you when it’s time to leave for school.” I blew him a kiss before leaving his room.
As I made my way through the kitchen to leave, I saw Trevor who seemed very shocked to see me. “Did you sleep here last night?” he asked.
“No,” I replied. “I just came to give your brother a little wake up call and some revenge for the neck full of hickies he gave me last night.” I pulled my collar down to show him Brenden’s masterpiece. As expected, he busted out laughing.
