"Machine. I have come to take my rightful place!" A divine voice shocked the workers as a flash of white and gold slammed into V1, who was ice fishing peacefully. "What is the meaning of this?" He thought as he readied his shotgun.

"Thanks to your combat footage and my divine knowledge, I am whole, once again! And now, machine, I challenge you to a duel!"

Gabriel removed his swords from V1's arsenal and readied to fight. The moonlight reflected off his armor, making him look radiant. Holy crosses and bible verses decorated his armor and on his back were two wings that vaguely looked similar to the V models. Swords out, the machine-turned-former-angel lunged.

"Gabriel, Killing you or me here would be a waste of resources. You need my footage and I need the terminal. So rethink this." V1 sent a direct message to Gabriel, who replied, "I have no intentions to harm you, machine. And I would like to stay allies, as long as greater threats are looming over us. Think of this as our long-awaited sparring session."

Nodding, V1 drew out his new arm, the blade flashing blue as he swung. Gabriel dodged and replied with a thrust. V1 dashed away and bashed Gabriel with his shield. The two locked in with each other, grappling and trying to knock each other off balance. Gabriel summoned a holy lance in his hands and flew up, throwing them at V1. V1 quickly froze a rocket, getting on top of it and surfing on it.

Jumping off, V1 latched onto Gabriel, hewing at him with his sword. Gabriel parried it away and returned the strikes with a spinning cut. The drones stared in awe.

"I have returned from hell to enact my vengeance, machine!" Gabriel shouted as he summoned three spears and launched them one by one.

With his Feedbacker arm, V1 redirected the holy spears to Gabriel. Simply dodging left, Gabriel landed on the frozen lake. Getting off the rocket, V1 slammed down.

Circling each other, the two machines locked in a fight so fluid and fast, only blurs of gold and blue could be seen. A precise cut countered a ricocheting beam and a devastating lunge was parried back into its sender.

"Enough!" Gabriel shouted. Summoning a holy insignia upon V1, he brought down a beam of divine light, the light that cleanses sins off by fire.

A perfect circle was marked on the floor, melting the ice yet not cracking it.

The machines oohed and ahhed as flashes of gold, white, and blue marked every strike. But in the end, V1 caught both blades with his Feedbacker, trapped Gabriel's arms, and feigned a kill-stroke to his neck.

Kneeling, Gabriel collapsed. He would've been furious if it was any other duel in Hell. But, he knew that V1 was superior in terms of combat. Isolation in the terminal made him rethink himself, and the result was this kind, humble angel with a bit of protectiveness and concealed wrath.

The two machines bowed and the drones clapped. "You think that's cool? Watch this!" V spoke, firing a missile directly at V1.

The resulting counter sent V up, up into the air, screaming. Thank god she used the dummy rockets. As she was forced up, she saw a purple reflection somewhere in the woods. A cabin. She zoomed in. A window. And inside, Uzi, staring at them. Instead of investigating, the purple grape of a drone was spying on them. Sighing with contempt, she dove straight into the cabin, entering through the chimney.
