We pull up to the coffee shop and walk inside.

"I think we'll find a seat, you two go get our drinks? I'll text you the order. Okay bye!!" Matt leads the others to go find a seat and I narrow my eyes at him. He's up to something. (matt gavin? more like matt wingman) Me and Val get in the line when I get their drink orders via text. Once we get to the front of the line, I start with my order and then start going down the list.

"And an iced tea," I say, finishing the list.

"Who's that for?" Val asks, looking at me slightly surprised.

"Jago." (I have just guessed)

"Really? Didn't take him as the iced tea kind."

"Yeah, same honestly," I chuckle. "Alright, what did you want?"

"Oh yeah! I'll have a mocha with a sugar cookie on the side."

"Alright! That will be 21 pounds" The barista says and Val nods, opening her wallet.

"I got it," I say, opening my phone case and handing the barista my debit card. (I keep shit in my phone case okay its just easier)

"Oh no you don't have to" She says, watching me carefully.

"It's fine, I don't mind." She nods as I take my card back and smile at the barista.

"You guys can wait by the counter while I get your order." The barista smiles and I nod as we make our way over. My phone vibrates and I look at the text.

I look up from my phone at Jono across the room as he mouths "never". I flip him off and he smiles, going back to his conversation.

Val looks up at me and raises her eyebrow as I lower my hand.

"What was that for?"

"Jono."

"Oh alright."

"Order for James?" The barista calls out and we go over to grab our order. I grab the tray while Val takes her drink and has a sip.

"Oh my god, what's your recipe? I own a coffee shop in Brighton and I never can seem to get my mocha recipe right," Val says, taking another sip from her drink. She seems so excited, I know she loves her job. She and Astral started hiring employees recently so that they weren't the only ones working.

"You own a coffee shop too? Do you own the one on Melody Street??"

"Yes!"

"Oh my god, I love that place!! I visit every time I visit my friends down there! I'll give you the mocha recipe if you give me your caramel macchiato recipe, literally the best thing that I have ever tasted."

"Ahh thank you so much!! Can I get your number?" Val is so pumped. We're in London and to have a barista friend, even if we're far away, is huge.

"Yes yes of course!" They exchange phones to put in their numbers, then switch back phones.
