y/n was seated on her seat going through some research paper before she can go back home and rest after a long day. her phone rings.

she picks it up. "what?" she asked. "gosh, you dont have to be so mean. by the way, come to my cabin. there's something really important" hawks said from the other side of the phone. "i am busy" she said. "just a few minutes" he said. she sighed. "fine" she said and hung up. she cleared up her desk and went to his cabin.

she went in without knocking and there was someone sitting on the seat in front of hawks. "someone is here to meet you" hawks said. the person turned behind to find out, its bakugo.

"i thought you said it was important" she said. "i am" bakugo said. "apparently, bakugo is here to steal something" hawks said. i sighed. i hate hawks humor. its so bad.

"what am i supposed to do about it? i am not the security guard here" i said. "but its related to you. he wants to steal you into his agency. so i thought you both would talk about it" hawks said.

"i am not joining your agency" y/n said. "why the hell not. you're getting an opportunity to work with a better hero" bakugo said. hawks gasped. "because i am not interested" y/n replied.

"the real reason, y/n" hawks said. "nevermind, i'll tell you. i'm giving half of my agency to her so she can start her own since she's the number ten hero now" hawks said.

"i thought you said you didnt have an agency" bakugo said. "he just said that i will start my own agency" she replied. he sighed. "your loss" he said walking out. y/n scoffed.

"you know him well?" hawks asked. "we used to talk" she replied. "ooh. high school sweethearts?" he asked. she sighed. "wait, he was with shoto, you both werent even in the same high school." hawks said.

"yeah he's just shoto's friend" y/n said and dismissed him. "are you done with work?" hawks asked. y/n nodded. "alright, you should go home then" he said. she nodded. "good night" hawks said. "night" she replied and left. she grabbed her phone from her desk she had forgot and left the place.

she walked towards her car when she noticed someone standing in front of her car.

"wanna grab a coffee nearby?" bakugo asked. she sighed. a coffee did sound nice, and she cant find a reason to say no to him. "fine" she said. they walked to a nearby cafe where they sat and  had hot coffee.

"do you recognize this place?" bakugo asked as he drank his coffee. y/n looked around. she shook her head. "we sat there, a week before my graduation while i treated you with cold coffee" he said.

y/n remembers those days. her cheeks all red, non stop blushing, her heart racing. "with your face all red" he said. she looked at him.

"what do you mean?" she scoffed. "i dont know, whether it was cold or you were just blushing a lot" he said. "i wouldnt blush" she said. "you wouldnt be cold either, your quirk" he said. "dont get ahead of yourself" she said.

"whatever" he said. "just want to know how you're doing" he said. "i am doing fine" she replied. "starting your own agency soon. thats nice." he said.

"...i didnt get an answer though" he said. "what?" she asked. "...where were you?" he asked. she sighed. "why do you want to know?" she asked. "i tried to fucking reach out to you, but i couldnt find anywhere, where were you while i was trying to find you?" he asked.

"why would you try to find me...our journey was till you tutoring me" she said. he looked at her. "if that were the case, y/n, i wouldnt have showed up at your graduation leaving my internship work at hold" he said.

y/n took a deep breath and got up. she had already paid for the coffee. "i have to go" she said. "why are you trying to avoid me?" he asked. "because i am not comfortable talking about what i was upto with you" she said and left.

home

y/n closed the door behind her and laid on her bed as soon as she saw it. why did bakugo had to show up in her life again. she had hoped not to see him anymore. it reminded her of the times she was actually happy when her family brought hell to her.

she closed her eyes and slowly drifted to sleep. she continued sleeping for an hour, and soon her phone rung. she groaned as she got up picked up the phone. "hello?" she asked in her deep sleepy voice.

"h/n, report to the hiroshi ward immediately for an emergency" she looked at the contact. it was the hero emergency contact. "i-i'll be there" she said. she got out of her bed and got dressed in her hero costume and headed to the venue.

"are you alright, sir?" y/n asked as she helped up an old man. "yes...thank you" the man got up. "will you be able to go home ?" she asked. "yes dear, bless you" the man said and walked away slowly with his cane.

"how are you going home y/n?" shoto approached y/n. "i'll walk" she replied brushing the dust off her hero costume. "i'll drop you then" he replied. "there's no need" she said walking away.

"y/n get in my car, i will drop you. its late night and you must be tired" he said. "i am fine shoto. i didnt need your help, nor do i need it right now" she said.

"...i am trying to mend my mist-" "shoto, you're being no less than father right now!" she said. "i'll do my stuff like i have been doing for over years, i dont need your help or fathers! its not your mistake or father's that i was bor-" "please stop saying that!" he yelled.

"i am hoping you forgive me...please"

"what made you realize this late?" she scoffed. "...i dont want to loose another sibling" he said. "and that doesnt make you any less significant that the others" he said. "...i want all of us to live the way we wanted" he added.

"...shoto...the way i wanted to live is too far in the past, if you want to live as a peaceful family with the others again, i am sorry but i do not want to be a part of it" she said.

she sighed and turned around leaving. "i wont allow you to do that" he said. "i dont need your permission" she said and continued walking. shoto followed her. "y/n please stop. lets talk" he said. "there's nothing to talk about!" she said.

"i am done with our family! and i dont want to be a part of it anymore! and if you want me to, keeping the todoroki in my name is the most i can do for you" she said.

"...i have come to realize...you're my only...younger sibling, and my younger sister...i've failed my duties as an elder brother...i dont want to be like father to you...i am sorry...for whenever i have neglected you..."

"i know we didnt grow up together like we were supposed to...i couldnt help you train when father didnt, i couldnt help you with your hero homework...but i wont be able to help myself either if i lose you too...so let me help you, with whatever you're going through...if you're not ready to accept me as your brother...we can start as friends...but please...talk to me" he said.

y/n has been having tough few months...just a few months earlier, fuyumi shows up and fixes her relationship with y/n, she tried to fix her and father's relationship too, along with the others...and now shoto is here wanting to fix their bonding. y/n feels so confused.

her eyes filled up with tears. she hates the moments she has to remember when she had to go through the toughest times with no one next to her. no one to talk to.

"...you have no idea shoto how much i had to go through because of you...because of you, father never cared to have a look at me, to approve me as his daughter, because of you, i couldnt make any friends at school, because of you, i lost everything that motivated me to work harder" she said.

"i am sorry y/n..." he said. "...i will...try to do everything in my power to help you with the things you lost because of me..." he said.

there was silence between the two. "lets head to my car...i'll drop you" he said.
