"that'll be 15000 yen sir" the cashier said. katsuki nodded and got his wallet out. suddenly his wallet was snatched. 

"am i taking you out on a date, or are you?" y/n asked. "its fine at least let me pay" he said. "shut up" she said and handed her card. 

after paying she handed his purse back. "i'll get you back" he said. "i'd like to see you try" she said. 

they had spent the entire afternoon on the beach. thankfully it was quite empty so not many people saw them. 

y/n yawned. "you look tired" he said. "not really" she replied. "lets go home" he said. "you sure?" she asked. he nodded. 

katsuki decided to stay over at y/n's house. and since he does that often, his some clothes are in her house itself. 

as he laid next to her in her bed, he held her hand. "do you want to spend the new years together?" he asked. she thought. "i want to" she replied. "but i cant" she added. "you have other plans?" he asked. 

she nodded. "...my mother has asked me to stay at the house with everyone for a week" she said. "thats good" he said. "hows things with you and your mom?" he asked. "...she calls me every few days and tells she wants me to come, but i have to tell her that i have work" she replied. 

"looks like she cares about you" he said. y/n stayed silent. "so you're going for a week?" he asked. she nodded. "off from work?" he asked. she nodded. "your shitty brother?" he asked. she hit his arm. "yes" she replied. "thank god" he sighed. she hit is arm once again. he laughed. 

his phone pinged. it was a message from kirishima. it was an image. he opened it. he smiled. "hm. look at this" he said showing her the phone. 

she fell silent. her name replaced grand's. she is the new number 5 hero. he kissed her forehead. "happy?" he asked. "hm.." she nodded. "i'm glad" he said. 

"y/n!" fuyumi hugged y/n. "you're in the top five" she smiled. "congratulations!" she said. y/n slightly smiled. "come on in, everyone's here" she said. 

they went inside and y/n saw everyone. shoto, natsuo, fuyumi(and her husband), enji, her father and...her mother, rei. 

rei got up and hugged y/n. "i am so glad you're finally here. you're so tall..."rei said and pulled back. y/n didnt reply. 

"cmon have a seat" she said and made y/n sit next to her. "y/n, i got to know the hero ranks were updated and you've secured rank 5, we're happy for you" enji said. character development.

"good work" natsuo said. "congratulations, y/n" fuyumi's husband said, whom y/n completely ignored. "you did great" shoto smiled. "...thank you" she said looking down. 

"lets celebrate then, dad has prepared food for everyone today!" fuyumi said clapping her hands together. 

"i'll get it," fuyumi said. "i'll help" natsuo said. 

the two served the food while rei talked with fuyumi's husband getting to know him. hes a sweet person.

"how are you y/n" rei asked. "...im fine" she replied. "you look quite tired" rei said touching y/n's face. "...work" she replied. "you just have some food, then you'll feel good" rei said. y/n nodded. 

"i cant wait for all of us to spend time together as a family...this has been a dream...and seeing it happening makes me so happy" she said smiling. 

surprisingly it was a very peaceful dinner which everyone liked.
