y/n is reconnecting with her brother! isnt it great?

"where's your house?" shoto asked. "moaki ward" y/n replied as she continued staring out the window of his car. "thats...far away from our house" he said. "meets the purpose" she replied.

"if i come visit you often, you wont mind right" he asked. "i'll try not to" she replied. he sighed and nodded. "thats better to hear" he said.

"what do you like to eat? we both can go out for dinner sometime. just a brother sister dinner" he said. y/n stayed silent. he looked at her while driving. she wouldnt budge. he looked back at the road and continued driving.

"where to now?" he asked. "left" she replied. he turned left. "you can stop here" she said. "is this your house?" he asked. "yes" she replied getting off. "okay...good night then" he said. she did not reply with anything and walked away into her house.

she closed the door behind her. her heart ached. no matter how much she wants to hate them, she ends up being too soft for them. even though she might be soft, even the slightest to her siblings, her father can never earn the soft spot for himself in her heart.

"may i put these in your office, h/n?" a worker asked. y/n nodded. "where do these go, maam?" another worker asked showing a box. "um...locker room" y/n replied looking inside the box.

"everything is unloaded" another worker came inside. "okay...you all can leave then" she said. the worker nodded and soon everyone started leaving.

"hey, i like this place" hawks said entering. "did you plan out the designs?" he asked. she shook her head. "i hired" she replied. "oh. but still it looks really good. from the outside and inside" he said.

"so when are you opening up?" he asked. "next week" she replied. "ooh. i bet my ex workers are excited to work here." he said. "whats left now?" he asked. "they have to assemble the furniture" she replied.

"oh that wont take long then. so you're done for the day?" he asked. she nodded. "how about we go for a drink then?" he asked. "i dont drink" she replied grabbing her phone from her pocket.

"um okay how about you just sit while i drink? cause i need some" he said. she looked at the watch and sighed. "alright, no longer than an hour" she said. "you got it" he said.

"what about friends from high school?" hawks asked. "dont have any" y/n replied fidgeting with her glass of water. "why?" he asked. "...they wanted to be friends so they could befriend shoto...i didnt help them, they didnt stay" she replied. "none?" he asked. "a few...but we dont talk anymore" she replied.

she sighed. "why are you so interested in my life?" she asked. "you know we always end up the only ones to hang out with each other" he said raising his glass and drinking. she looked down fidgeting with her fingers.

"you have better people to hang out with, you know a lot of good heroes." she looked up. "you should hang out with them instead. you're just wasting your time with me here" she said.

"hey, thats not the case" he said. "i think of you as my friend" he said. "i've seen you grow up, and you're no less than my own kid" he said patting her head. y/n feels her head ache. "i want to go home" she said holding her head. "cmon i'll drop you off, you look tired" he said finishing his drink and putting down the glass.

he paid for the drink and dropped her off.

y/n went through her pocket for the keys when she noticed someone standing in front of her door. "did you just get off work? its late...i was about to call you bu-"  shoto asked. "you dont have my number" she cut him off taking the keys out of her pocket and inserting in the keyhole.

"did someone drop you off?" he asked. she nodded opening the door. "who was it?" he asked. "none of your business" she replied.

"what are you doing here?" she asked turning around to look at him. "i just came to check on you" he said. "i am fine. you can leave now" she said. "i go you some soba...if you like to eat them, we can eat together. i havent had my dinner either" he said.

"you were waiting to have dinner here with me?" she asked. he nodded. she sighed. "dont do that again" she said opening the door wider to let him in.

he walked inside. "the dining's there" she said pointing to the hallway. he walked down the hallway into the dining room placing down the soba on the table. "do you want me to warm it up for you?" she asked.

"no...i eat my soba cold...you should warm it for yourself" he replied. "...i eat my soba cold too" she replied. "...okay" he nodded. "i'll get plates" she said and went to the kitchen to get the bowls.

she placed down on the table. shoto helped serving it and they sat quietly and ate their cold soba.

they finished their food. "give me your bowl" y/n said getting up. "no it's fine, i'll put my own dirty bowl" shoto said getting up with the bowl and chopsticks and following her in the kitchen.

y/n put down the dirty dish in the sink and so did shoto. "you have quite a big house" he said. "i know" she replied. "are you...planning on living here with someone?" he asked. "no, no" she shook her head.

"oh okay...good then. i was thinking to speak about something related to this" he said. "what?" she asked.

"your house is big and luxurious but...since you're a top ten hero, it wont be up your lifestyle. you need more security than you think" he said. "...security?" she asked. "yes, villains tend to break in heroes' houses for their personal gain or revenge...you should move to a place thats safer" he said.

"i dont know of any" she replied. "there's a building in saora ward...its close to your new agency and hero council...i live not too far away from that ward...its safe for you" he said. "leave a house and live in an apartment to put more people in danger? shoto are you listening to yourself?" she asked.

"no, you wont be putting more people in danger, the place is integrated with hero council. it ensures full security of residents in the building, along with the heroes'" he said. "...i'll think about it" she replied. he nodded.
