the previous day, bakugo kissed y/n. since then y/n is in her home thinking of it. whenever the scene replays in her mind, her cheeks turn red and she can feel her heart palpitating. 

she has never experienced these sudden change in emotions since she last saw him before her hiatus from her social life. 

its a sunday evening so y/n is just sitting on her couch with the tv turned on and something playing in the background as the scene replays in her mind. 

her door bell rings. she looks at the clock. its 5pm. fuyumi said she'd come visit y/n around seven. why was she early today? 

y/n got up and opened the door to see bakugo standing on the other side. "hey" he said. "...is it okay, i came over?" he asked. she was surprised but nodded. 

as soon as she was about to let him inside he speaks up. "listen about yesterday" he said. y/n's heart beats fast and she looks anywhere but into his eyes. 

"i didnt lie about what i said. just to prove i hadnt gone mad after drinking" he said. "so i just came over for an answer" he said. "i want you to be my girlfriend" he said. 

she looked at him in shock. "uhm" she doesnt know what to say. "if you need time to think about it, its fine. just wanted to let you know." he said. 

y/n sighed. "do you want to come inside?" she offered a talk inside. he nodded and stepped inside her house. it was really clean with nothing lying around. 

"why would you...break up with your girlfriend because of me?" she asked as he sat down on her couch. "i told you before too, i didnt show up at your graduation for nothing. if you were a nobody to me, i wouldnt even continue helping you after your entrance exam" he said. 

her cheeks turn red. "what about you then?" he asked. "what?" she asked. "did you ever have feelings for me? because i know you at least had a crush on me. i saw the way you looked at me with those eyes of yours" he said. 

"thats why i tried to find you, but i couldnt. you left no track behind to trace you" he said. he got up and approached her. "now i just want to know what you feel about me. which depends on your answer whether you will be my girlfriend or not" he said. 

"..." y/n thought for a moment. "...fine" she said. she is new to this whole girlfriend boyfriend thing. although she has shared kisses with people before, but never in a relationship. 

"hm, i didnt catch you?" he asked teasing her. she said it a bit louder. "...fine" she said. "its a yes or no question, y/n" he said. "yes!" she said. he chuckled. "you're so irritating..." she said looking away. 

"you want...coffee?" y/n asked. "sure. if you're making it" he said. she went into the kitchen and made coffee for herself and him. 

bakugo came into her kitchen. "nice kitchen" he said. "i dont use it" she replied. 

"i got the invitation by the way" he said. "which invitation?" she asked. "your sister's wedding" he said. "oh" she nodded and looked down as she brewed the coffee. "you dont seem happy about it" he said. 

"i am" she replied. "your expressions say otherwise" he said. "...its just a huge change" she replied. "cant relate, single child" he said. 

and thats how their new relationship begun. as girlfriend -boyfriend. 

bakugo is y/n's first boyfriend ever. and she's 26. 

they just sat on her couch and relaxed as they watched the tv together and engaged in small talks. 

around 7 pm, bakugo had left and it was time for fuyumi to arrive. 

just then the bell rang and fuyumi smiled as y/n opened the door. "how are you" fuyumi asked. "i am fine" y/n replied. she saw that shoto is also standing behind fuyumi. "what are you doing here?" she asked. 

"nee san gets a warm welcome, and i dont?" he asked. "i never liked you" she said closing the door behind him. 

"how was your day?" fuyumi asked. "..." y/n remembers all the stuff happened not just two hours ago. "nothing special" she said taking the two cups of coffee away. "two mugs? did you have someone over?" shoto asked. "no, no. i...uhm drank two cups of coffee because i didnt want to clean the first mug" y/n made an excuse. 

fuyumi laughs sitting down on the couch. "dad's joining the hero council tomorrow" shoto said. "i know. it'll be so weird" y/n said. "why will it be weird?" fuyumi asked. "because you dont want your father to be your head at work, let me tell you. especially him" y/n said. 

"awh come on, it wont be so bad. you can try to cooperate" fuyumi said. "with that man, never" y/n said. "y/n" shoto said. "what?" y/n asked. 

"you want to go, meet mom?" shoto asked. she looked at him for a moment. "no" she replied. "why not?" fuyumi asked. "i dont want to" she replied. 

"she's your mother..." fuyumi said. "and? i never saw my mother growing up, nor i need to see her now" y/n said. "its not mom's fault" shoto said. "i know its not. but...i barely remember her face. i barely remember who she was. i dont think i'll be randomly be able to accept that the woman in front of me is my mother" y/n said. 

"you sound like you're holding a grudge against mom" fuyumi said concerned. "i am not!" she snapped. "you make it even more convincing now" shoto said. "...lets not talk about this. i dont want another burden on you all" she said. 

"what burden?" shoto asked. "stop pretending like i wasnt one. a god damn mistake that drove mother crazy" she said. 

"y/n!" shoto yelled at her. "dont ever again say that you were a mistake or a reason mom became like that!" he yelled at her. 

y/n went silent. "y/n you were never a burden or a mistake, or the reason why it all happened to mom" fuyumi said. "you cant prove your point. i can. father already had his perfect child, shoto todoroki, why have me then?" she said with tears on the lining of her eyes. 

"thats enough" shoto said. he approached y/n and looked at her teary eyes. "what can i do to change your mindset" he asked. "...its not my mindset, its the reality shoto. believe it or not, all of you will come before me as a priority for father and mother" she said. 

"father is trying to change, and you cant say that about mother yet" he said. "i cant? why did she write you all those letters? why did she write everyone letters but i never received one? how does that not show you how much she also prioritizes you all before me" she said. 

"it could be a misunderstanding" he said. "...it cant unless she's forgotten she has me" she said as tears finally fall down. 

for the first time in the lifetime, shoto embraces her in his arm. first time they had a sister-brother hug. "she talks about you. she asks how you are doing. she says how proud she is of you. she has been constantly asking me to meet you up with her. she cant forget you" he said. 

"...i am still not ready to meet her. i cant get myself to" y/n said. she pulled away. "mom has got a leave from the hospital for a day...on the wedding...she'll be there y/n. and i am sure she'll search for you in desperateness to see you after years" fuyumi said. 

"i cant" y/n said. "you have to make a progress. we'll take small steps, alright?" shoto asked. y/n is not at all ready.
